how many of you think that Florentino should open up his wallet just a little more and pay Santos the full $50M for Robinho?

i think he should. it would be more humiliating to NOT get the player, then admitting that he got outplayed by Teixeira and pay the full price. that my opinion. (C)

Yeah I think it wont be so bad, since we get both Diogo and Pablo for only 8 m €, and in theory we had a budget of 120 m €.

Pay the 41,5 m € now, get the player and then enter a legal battle to recover the 40%.

BTW nice Soldado sig datboy ;)

the question is, will he do it?? it would feel awful to miss out on Robinho after all the drama that's been going down.

thanks! Jaqbek made it. he rocks! :rockman:

Something between €20-25M should do it.

You can also throw in Guti, he's too good to be a bench player.

i think they bid low on purpose, just to see if there is interest

i dont see madrid getting him

yeah, Marca says we are interested in Ballack, Luque and Baptista.

Luque was ruled out by Sacchi I think
Ballack looks like he'll renew with Bayern(+he is not a LM) and he is not what Madrid needs atm.
Baptista could be a possibility (if he stays on for 1 more year, he'll get the spanish citizenship I think) his fans booed him recently, but he'll maybe want to join Arsenal.

about Figo staying GREAT let's play him LM then!

and no we shouldn't pay the 50M $ to Santos IMO
the player wants to join RM so no hurry then + he's young and got time.

they'll soon realise that a non commited player is difficult to keep (6)

i think ballack would be the best 'bet' to come, although i dont expect even that

he's a little older and madrid aren't really going hard after him

luque is pure BS, it seems baptista is either staying in sevilla or going to england, i really dont want him

also, i wouldnt bet on figo staying, i think he'll move on once the tour is over

Finally some really good news. :lui:

from an AS report

Guti: For the time being I continue here, I have a contract with Madrid and that is more important in these moments. I will give it all for Real Madrid as i always have done. My illusion is to continue marking goals with this team".

i must say, i dont really like the thought of Figo staying in Madrid. he wont get much playtime. its better that he leaves. imo

Juanfran can do a much better work then him on the wing. did anyone see him against Beijing? damn, that kid is pure CLASS! :jambo:

You are comparing Figo who was arguably one of Real's most consistent player last season to Juanfran, who impressed againts some Chinese team?

Figo is Nothing like he was in the beginning of last season. there's a reason why Luxemburgo benched him. and Juanfran is always impressing. not just against that chinese team.

having a player like Figo on the bench every match is not good for any team. he's a first team player. but i think his days in Madrid should be over. thats just my opinion.

you cant seriously compare juanfran with Figo........Juanfran couldnt do anything in the cup games he played with MAdrid against 2nd division teams. Figo should play on the left in my opinion. Even though last season wasnt his best he was still good.

Nowadays Juanfran has a more direct style of play, and doesnt retain the ball unnecessarelly as Figo do - in addition is faster.

I agree with datboy, I wouldnt be bothered if we sell Figo and keep Juanfran.

i don't know if i want figo to leave or not. At first i did even want him to be benched then we played so well without him and i didn't care for him that much anymore

How can u guys say that? Figo has had a hand in a good bit of the preseason goals that have scored while was on the field, and has knocked in a penalty. Even if he isn't given starting XI status, he should still stay, for reasons concerning squad depth and his experience.
