you can put 4 dmc's but that doesn't guarantee that the opposing team won't be able to attack, great team with great players will always find a way to break a defence, capello should just take out emerson(why did you even sign him when you already had pablo garcia??) , raul and beckham, and put guti, robinho and reyes and there you will see a better and faster real madrid.

Robinho has coped just fine. He played all but one game last season, scored some goals gave some assists. He was one of the best RM players overall. I'd say the defenders didn't cope with Robinho very well :), he made them look like fools very often.

About Capello, his biggest mistake was ignoring last year's improvements. He should have put his pet players slowly, when needed, and if needed, instead he lost all, if little, chemistry the team had gained at the end of last season.
Well i didnt say he wasnt good in spain, what i meant was it took him time to adapt to the spanish league physically, so its going to be 3 times as hard for him to get used to the english league.

Ruud is more fast then he looks, do u remember the dribble he made from the half way line all the way to the goal and shot just wide against Villareal. I thought he was slow as well at first i mean really slow.

pablo was alright, but he was seriously violent, he picked up way too many cards

i wouldnt mind having him, for depth

funny how two years ago we had no dm and now we seemingly have too many

I think its forgiveable for big teams to be slow.

Lots of big teams are slow actually. Its more dominating football.

Faster teams are more successful. It's in nobody's interest to be slow, no matter the magnitude of the team, nor is it a good quality.

I think the main thing is, there's a difference between playing a slow controlling style, but with players who can turn on the jets vs. just plain being damn slow.

yes exactly what I mean. the big teams have a few players who can totally change the pace of the game. but generally play slowly, building up the attack.

"slow" here sounds very negative, but you have perceived me wrong. fast football is like the Arsenal of the past few seasons. Barca dont exactly play like that do they?

Barca will pass the ball like 20 times around the pitch and then a sudden darting run by Eto'o will suddenly be found by the magical vision of some of the magicians in midfield.

Actually they play quite fast, attack very quickly so they can catch the other teams defence sleeping. They do lots of quick little passes with good movement that usually cuts open most teams defences. This is not the Serie A:D

So far we just play damn slow with some players who can run but are on the bench.

A reply not worth reading, as usual from you.

I agree, but what I meant was that I didn't understand why a team would want to be slow. There are slower teams that succeed, I don't doubt that, but I don't think any team would be slow by choice. They usually don't have the ability to play fast football so they play slow, that's about it. However, it's an advantage when a team is a fast one.

Fast teams can also lead to many give aways and quick counter attacks from the opposition. By playing slow the team can also be aware. Good teams need to be able to do both

Are Emerson and Caps lovers? What's the deal with Caps thinking he's the best player ever? Very strange. Something must be going on. Emerson is useless. I can tell you know that Reyes & Robinho will not start for sure. Caps doesn't like good players. He came out in defense of Raul, wondering why fans were against Raul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF???

"Gee I wonder why" Maybe cause he scores a goal every 15 games he plays(and he's a forward!) , and is rarely involved in the game and taking up valuable real estate?

I am perplexed and insulted by some of the things going on at Real Madrid. The more and more I see us play the more I don't have interest.

Jaouadinho

Yeah I wonder if he knows something about him. like he cheated on his wife and he cought him so now he has to play him in every game or he will tell.

Or maybe he is his love puppet it must be one of those 2.

LOve puppet! Love that one. Yea, he has to have a secret. Anyway, I think bringing Guti in midfield would be the smartest thing. Alongside Diarra, he'd do justice. What are the alternatives? We need a mCM with a good eye for passing, creativity and right noe Guti is the only one for this. But I don't think Caps like Guti. Maybe Guti should dig up some dirt on Caps and blackmail him ala Emerson?

LoL yeh he should.

when becks is not playing we keep the ball much more, that way guti can see a pass and execute it, with players as fast as robinho and reyes it should be easy really.
