I thought I read on as that capello was saying raul was not untouchable?

anyway, you guys cant harp on emerson that much- he's slow as they come but if it wasnt him there it would be Garcia, or even Gravessen :O The truth is that Capello WILL USE 2 DMs. SO it's a good thing it's emerson and not gravesinha. I never watned emerson on the Brasil squad because he didnt create, and wasnt fast like other Brazilian DMs....

Anyway- why didnt R9 travel? He's training with the main squad isnt he?

ridiculous ; emerson has always been the backbone on all capellos succesful seasons with juve and roma; him having some bad games doesnt mean his crap ; cuase in that case all the team is crap; its funny how some of you were praising diarra some weeks ago ; but hes been playing crap too; lol :ewan:

but if emerson plays like crap for a few games, maybe he should be dropped, dont you think? Capello just sticks with his dumb starting 11, no matter what.

No, I think Capello has stated that it will be 2 weeks minimum before he even thinks of putting Ronaldo on the list of players fit to play. From what I read he was kind of training with the squad but not at the same level as they were doing it. Just testing out his knee and all. 2 weeks sounds like the right time before he is fit.

Tomorrow's game will be a sign of what's to come for the rest of the season. A test of how players and coach react to an awful game vs. Lyon. Sorry to say but if we're utter krap tomorrow, I don't see this being resolved for quite some time. Raul, Emerson to the bench. Lets try something new.

what happened to Helguera actually?

Isnt he quite decent? Wasnt he one of the best DM's some time ago?

Now he's being left out for "technical reasons"? First time I've heard that, unless he's gonna get sold or something that is.

Well my friend he used to be good but now he is one of the worst centre backs in the world.

If u saw some of the matches last season you would see why. He cost us about 7 or 8 goals that season alone, he has been poor for the 3 years now (like so many other players as well).

He will get sold to Racing Santander in January.

helguera quite honestly may be the worst member in the first team, he's absolutely useless

dont get me wrong, he was very good for many years and served this club, but its time for him to go

he is only being left out because he couldn't find a team to take him in time during the summer and cap doesnt want to use him
