Yeah, I really don't care. I prefer controllers, whoever it was you were arguing with (Mus I think, too lazy to scroll up) prefers them, too. You prefer keyboard. Different strokes.

Yep. The whole point to Mus was that being a good player with K/M meant nothing when it came to being good with a controller. So we did lose the plot at some stage.

PC gamers would still call you a n00b though. If you tried using a controller in a PC competition you'd get your arse kicked :)

Why is it more social? Are you suggesting console gamers generally pay multiplayer split screen? When you're talking about shooting games (and we are) this is the minority.

It's easier to talk to someone whilst sitting on a couch with a controller in your hand than sitting infront of a screen with a keyboard and mouse, also swapping controllers to each other and the split screen you mentioned, it's more casual

and the original point was that it was possible to play a FPS on a console with a controller and still be able to effectively kill people

Yes, and my point was only ever that someone could still be extremely good at it on PC with K/M, and not be any good on console...And that mouse is always going to be more accurate, unless you use aim assist.

FIFA World Cup 2014 by EA Sports

The camera is just so damn shaky. I see that EA have made no improvements since my last foray into the world of PC soccergaming - FIFA 2003.

Terrible man. I was actually thinking of picking up a copy this year for the PC. This is a little disappointing.

I know the competition is fierce but that might be the most ridiculous thing you've ever said.

Actually, as far as I know, Electronic Arts are the only manufacturer of official FIFA World cup games. They do not face the competition that you talk of.

Getting back on topic, the game play does not seem as silky smooth as I thought it would be. I remember FIFA World Cup 2002 feeling smoother than what I saw in the video 2 posts earlier.

Maybe it is just the video....in which case, EA should have done a better job in terms of marketing. If I had to choose based on that, there is no way I would spend my money on that on June 1. No way.

Are the games actually more fun now? Perhaps more realistic, but FIFA 98-2000 and 2003 stand out in my mind as being far more fun than any that have come later.

Hmmm.. You were thinking about getting it on PC, and what has the date June 1 have to do with anything?

You do realize that the game will be released only on PS3 and Xbox (which was shown at the end of the video you posted)? And on April 15-17 depending on where you live.

Who tried Thief? It has to be one of the worst optimized. What a crap and disappointment

I loved the originals and was really looking forward to it and then read about it and died on the inside

I absolutely loved World Cup 98 and FIFA RTWC 98. I had a second peak in interest in around FIFA 03. But apart from that I've not gotten into them as much. Still fun multiplayer with some mates around though.

Could have to do with you being 8 years old too.

This was my other thought when I was responding to Az's post. I was going to mention it but got carried away and forgot. I don't play as many games now that I'm older. That very well could be a reason.

I was thinking exactly this when I read his post.
