Tool to convert players from FIFA 14-17 to FC 24

This is a very simple but effective tool to convert large amounts of players from earlier FIFA games to FC 24.

Download here: Convert Tool (FIFA to FC 24)

Paste in the db or squad file data from a FIFA game and it will automatically convert it to player data ready for FC 24. All you need to do after that is change the player names (highlighted in blue) to their playername IDs if they are written out or add missing name IDs to your FC 24 database/squad file.

This conversion is not 100% accurate as some IDs of certain stats might have changed between games (e.g. head type) or new stats added (which are generated as accurately as possible in the conversion), but it has been made in such a way that there will not be any errors and large amounts of players can be converted at once.

Steps
1) Paste in older fifa player data in FIFA tab
2) Replace data in name id columns where applicable and add missing IDs to your FC 24 database/squad file
3) Import converted data into FC24 game (with Fifa editor (Database) or Dabatabase Manager (Squad file)

Thanks for that. Could be very useful. Unfortunetly it lacks of such converters to accelerate the DB conversions from one FIFA in to another. Will check this.

I used to convert the player tables by myself at excel but if we manage to have a players library from every fifa would be a lot of help for modders

@Lord Bitterbal when you explain in your description after conversion to replace the Player Names/ID´s, what exactly does that mean? I must write manually all the thousands Playernames there? I didn´t get that point? Can you be more specific with that step. As I tried the converter today and after paste in my Data from a FIFA 23 Players Table 3 columns are hightlighted in blue in DB Tab and 3 in Squad Tab. But the other other columns are not populated in those 2 tabs.
Questions:
1) Is it possible to convert FIFA 23 Player Table into FC 24 with your tool?
2) Of course I did something wrong, what is it?

Sorry, I am not very familar with excel and formulas.

That´s what I always do by myself too. I copy/paste every necessary Table into a second excel sheet where are the destination DB / Squad is desired. Works in the most cases well. But in game a.e. in Fc 24 I have missing Players in teams or other issues. I am aware it is most likely due wrong ID orders or missing assigned Id´s. That´s always the Point I struggle to work further on another Game. Didn´t know where to start after I reach that point in my destination Game. Any short useful hints? Thanks.

Hey, no you could replace the IDs with names manually but that would be a lot of effort. The way I did it is first replacing the firstnameid, lastnameid, playerjerseynameid column values by matching their values with the ones in the playernames file of the original database. It is a bit annoying but this way you get the written out names from the original database. Then convert them in the excel file here and then convert them back to number IDs the same way by matching the names with their ID values in the playernames file of the new database (i.e. the game you convert it to, so in this case FC 24).

You will then likely have a number of names that won't convert because they are not in present in the playernames file. For those you will need to add them manually to the playernames file (if you use a formula to convert names to IDs based on that excel they should then automatically get updated to ID codes in your player database. Hope this is clear and helps!

I am not sure about the missing players. Maybe the teams file refers to wrong IDs or so? The excel here should change all values that are not compatible with FC 24 so there should not be any issues there that would make a player not show up.

This excel might not work yet to convert from Fifa 23 to FC 24 as a lot of data got changed after Fifa 16 or 17 or so so the columns are different meaning some might not match with those in Fifa 23. If I have time I might soon make specific versions for each fifa game as each might have some slight differences but that should be easy to change.

Many thanks for your detailed answer, Mate! I will go through every point of your reply and try my best to become a better Converter. It’s just frustrating after an 1 hour or 2 to not know what’s to fix or what steps would help me out. Unfortunately I don’t have or can use any formula in excel as my skills there are very limited and I don’t know sources from the Internet where to look at. Would be great to have a helper program or a python script etc. which do some exhausting manual work in a conversion. Anyways, I will continue to work and try to unterstand your release here.

Sorry to butt in here. The way I normally do it is to have the names as actual strings in my players table.

Then I export the playernames table as it is out of the database.

I use a database tool such as db browser for SQLite. I import the playernames table into a new database.

Next, from my excel sheet I copy the names column which is the names as a string. I export the results as a new table called mynames.txt and import that into the database. I add a keyid column as a primary key and another column which is an integer named foundnameid.

I then run a query to update this column with the nameid column from playernames where it is equal to the playername. This leaves me with a table with the correct ids for those that exist and 0 where it hasn’t found the name. I can then run another query to get distinct names from my playernames where the foundnameid is 0. Then I can create a text file with these names and import them into playernames with unique nameid column.

then I run the previous script to update the foundnameid in myplayernames.

Then I can copy the foundnameids column out of the database and paste it into the name column of players.

Sounds complicated, but once you understand it, it will save you lots of hours. If you need me to, I can probably create this as a tutorial on my channel and possibly create a tool (but this would be a few weeks before I have time)

Thanks for your reporting. Any help would be much appreciated. I guess with a Tutorial or even a handy Tool many headaches will be gone for more interested People. Your channel? You are on YT?

Yep. Search for soccermod.
I also put all the data on soccermod.co.uk / soccermod.com

Hi! Anyone know how to convert fc24 database to FIFA 20? I see most of the cells are equal but no all of then. Thanks!
