This is laughable. Mascherano didnt play any key role for Corinthians. He played 3-5 games and then got injured for the rest of the season for **** sake. Those people dont have a freaking clue on what they're talking about.

God i hate him, but i think Rooney should be ahead of Messi on that list. The guy is special- he will surely 1 day be world player of the year

I don't get either what Mascherano is doing there, i believe Rooney isn't there because it's more likely he will be a starting player in the world cup.

No, he's not. Not at the moment anyway. I would go as far as saying Rooney is one of the best in the world right now. People say Messi is better because he is flashy.

Mascherano is the best DM i've seen in years...he plays like he is 30 and runs like hell..


What do you mean by messi is flashy?

You mean fast, talented, starting in barca, and far from his peak..?

No, he means, too many dribbles and show-offs which don't cost much if he ****s up, since he is playing currently in the best team in the world and has others doing the defending and scoring for him, compared to rooney who is pulling united into 2nd place by doing the job of 3 players.

Wayne Rooney is not a god damn prospect, end of argument. Nobody should take umbrige or delight from his exclusion from a list on which he has no business. And for the record, if you cant come to terms with the fact that he is one of the 20 best players on planet earth right now, nevermind what he is going to be, then dont bother

Thats exactly what he means. Messi is about blowing past defenders and making them look foolish, wowing people with his moves, etc etc. That is all well and good for Spanish football

Rooney gets it done without flash and panache, and somehow that makes him less of a player in alot of peoples eyes. But as help said he has been integral to helping a team without a functioning midfield to second place in England

And not to be a dick, but i'd like to see Mascherano ply his craft in a top European leauge before I rate his as better than one of the best players in the world

I never named Rooney, i think he is great..and will be one of the best in the WC.

Messi dribbles too much and show-offs in the same way that C.Ronaldo and Robinho do..? Or he dribbles in speed, assist a lot, and do some defensive work?

Messi always dribble towards the goal, and in speed, wich is more difficult than doing it standing...

IMO he isnt flashy enough...hehehe

Luis-Ah hoy, did. Which resulted in slowsilver answering him, which resulted in you questioning slowsilver, that's where rooney came from.




I don't think that many people will deny that they would take Messi over Robinho and not even mentioning Ronaldo, the guy has been practically none existant in the united line-up, but Messi is flashy because of the way his plays. Not like it's a bad thing, unless he will start messing up like ronaldo started at the beginning of the season.
