next lesson tomorrow at 9am :boohoo: :boohoo:

anyhoo, im finding driving a lot easier now, ive got the hang of 3-point-turns and parallel parking, just need to do reversing around a corner now.

STILL my only problem is my confidence at roundabouts and stuff like that, too often i go when i shouldnt, and dont go when i should. I really need to get out of the habit of doing it.. Wish i lived in the U.S without roundabouts :( :(

there's roundabouts in the US, in fact I went around one of them today, I don't see what you find confusing about them and frankly I can't see how this thread is still alive it's been a long time you must of gotten the hang of it by now right? I mean why do u need a teacher to learn how to parallel park or how to reverse around the corner :|?

Problem is your parents aren't using proper learning tactics.

I learned manual as soon as I got my license.

My father took me out into the country one fine summer's eve, and if the car was to so much as shudder when accelerating or shifting, I would be dragged to the side of the dirt road and beaten. By the end of ONE night I could drive manual. And I've never been in an accident.

Moral of the story: beat your children.

Half of that is true. :p

i've been driving for nearly four months now. learnt on manual, had that under control in about two weeks, and now i'm basically driving a lot of the time - to sport, school, shops - done 30 of my required 50 hours so far. will be able to drive by myself january next year... i am counting the days !!

come on it's not that hard.. even women can handle a car, should you always keep this in your mind and you'll see things more positively :)

the funny thing is, here we have some people whose ages are numerically lower than my driving experience, in years.. :lui:
