Driving an automatic is soooooooooooooooooooooooo easy. I've tried driving a manual a few times but I'm not very good at it. It doesn't really matter though since my car is an automatic.

It is better to learn to drive in a manual because then you can drive anything whereas if you learn in an automatic you're screwed when it comes to driving a manual..

Who the **** cares what a racer drives? Last time I checked, I don't drive going 200 mph on a circle. Driving an automatic is easy but I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It is probably better to learn how to drive on an automatic anyway.

It doesn't matter if I am screwed when I have to drive a manual since my car is automatic! I will probably learn how to drive manual sometime in the future, but for now I don't need to learn that.

having a manual in a city like chicago sucks. during rush hour, its first, second, first, second, first, second, first.... neutral cuz there's an idiot who doesn't understand that you can't drive 70 miles an hour, crash into a story and expect to walk away. i've given up on manuals and have stuck to automatic to avoid frustration.

thats true. you get a slow start in traffic and stuff, and thats not good if you dont wanna be honked crazy in busy cities with small lanes.

i'm serious man i can't even explain the frustration. 3 hours of first second first second REALLY pisses me off. and people here DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ******* DRIVE. never fails to amaze me how some of these people actually get licenses. take them to europe for one day i guarantee you they will pull over/crash to the curb and start crying.

Really, driving an automatic just is easier. If you want to go real fast, than a manual is what you want. You want to chill and simply drive a car, automatic.

Being able to drive a manual is overrated. It's not like I'm moving to Europe any time soon.

i totally agree. i just think its good to know how to drive one. it is widely used, and you never know when you might need it. its just frustrating to have one in certain places.

2nd Lesson (with Dad)

Woooo, the clutch is no longer my enemy, piece of piss. Im pretty confident in pulling away now, i didnt know you could leave the clutch slightly on as you START moving forward, silly me.

Changing gears is now easy, i even went up to 4th at about 25mph, nice

Next Lesson:

I really have to stop braking so hard otherwise my dad will go through the front window. Im also gonna go on a small road hopefully

N.B - No townies this time
