Many Turkish strikers are better than Sukur NOW, not in the past. Look at the strikers Turkey has that are better than him. Ilhan, Tuncay, Serhat, Fatih Tekke. I can probably name some second division strikers better than Sukur but I won't. Oh, and don't start a fight saying that Tuncay isn't a striker, because he is. He might play in midfield sometimes because he can.

He can't jump? I guess you forgot his goal against Belgium in the EURO 2000. And I guess you forgot all his headers. He is the best goal scorer from headers in the world. I havn't seen a player yet in my life that can place the ball on his head, jump and score.

Ilhan is better than SUkur? Don't make me laugh man, your funny guy. What did Ilhan do so far for Turkey or in the Turkish Super League? How many goals did he score so far and how many goals did Galatasaray's king score? Tuncay is not a striker, he is an attacking midfield or a forward, there is a difference between a striker and a forward player, Serhat forget about that little ****, Fatih Tekke is good but not better then Sukur, how many goals did he score and what did he do so far for Turkey? And he still has 7-8 years more to go, I believe he is still 25 years old. Hakan Sukur is getting old to retire. He did alot to Turkish Football.

This tells me that you don't know anything about football. 2-3 defence was covering Hakan Sukur in the World Cup, how can he score goals easily. Hakan Sukur did his job perfectly, he took 2-3 defencemen and let the others leave open and others scored the most of the goals.

More success than my bird brain team? Oh my, I already addmitted Galatasaray has more success than Fenerbahce in Europe. Now please don't compare your team to mine. As it stands your owner is soon going to hit the streets begging for money, you cant afford a stadium, your 25 000 seat stad can't even be compared to Fenerbahce's which is 1 of the top in Europe. Our subs could replace your starting 11. Now you asked how you started a fight? Well "bird brain team" would help. But honestly it's a stupid comparison, and I didn't even insult your club until now.

As for sukur please shut up about him. He is the most over rated player in Turkey. He left for european teams and couldn't survive. He is lazy, and considering his height he can't even jump.

So what if he was covered by 3 men at WC? What do you think all the great players have to put up with, ªaban (sukur) isn't the only player that gets covered that heavily, they all manage, not completey screw up and barely move.

I didn't know you were going to get this upset when I called your team a bird brain, but its true.

About Hakan Sukur, he did alot for Turkish Soccer. He went to other clubs thats true and he wasn't successfull and that is true as well, but look at Ronaldo, is he successfull in Real Madrid? Some players hs to be at their home team to be successfull. Hakan Sukur was successfull in Galatasaray, don't forget the UEFA Cup and 4 times in a row turkish champs, and now he is getting old, but just watch and see, he will still be in the first 11 for Turkey. He will be a legend in the Turkish team. When did Ilhan got noticed? when he was 25? Well Hakan Sukur was noticed when he was 18 years old. Ilhan or the others that you have mentioned are not even close to Hakan Sukur. Turkish soccer needs a striker like Hakan Sukur or we will be in great danger. What you think Tunjay will cover his spot? Nihat? No way man, who will score our hearders? who will press the oponent's defence? who will jump and get the ball from the keeper's hands and score? Tunjay is an awsome player but he is an attacking midfield and he is terrible at defending, he doesn't do any pressing against the oppocision, Nihat does it but he is not tall like Sukur.

I can't say I don't have some respect for sukur, but watching him play really upsets me sometimes. How lazy and slow he is. I didn't say ilhan was amazing, because he isn't. His attitude is horrible, and he doesn't suite the turkish football, this is why he's playing in japan. He is very fast though, he creates a lot of open space, and frustrates defenders even when he's not scoring. Sukur has to go, and Turkiye is not in danger at all, we have such strong young players that actually RUN, and work HARD, sukur is good for moral, and expeirence.

I'm not putting down sukur because he's galatasarayli, i'm not a fanatic in that way. Hasan Sas is a player I think has amazing skill, works hard, but has a bad attitude and takes unneccessary fouls, if he didn't get so down on himself, and would have left Turkiye to play for a bigger club when the time was right, he'd be even more amazing than he is. If gala plays umit karan more, I honestly think he could be on the national team, even as a sub, we need explosive fast players like him. The fact that sukur is galatasarayli doesn't affect the way I think about him at all.

I agree most of what you have said, but you have also said that Ilhan creates open spaces so as the other matching forwards like Tuncay, Umit Karan, Arif was one of them too, but I have to state this clearly, why do you think they create open spaces, I think it is because of Sukur which 3 defenders cover him and others gets the open spaces easily. Ok he is not that fast but if you compare him to the other tall strikers like Vieri, Hojdonk, Jardel...... Hakan is still faster in my openion. I have seen him press the defenders alot. Yes he had some lazy games which I remember when playing for Turkey, but every player has those kinds of matches in their football life.

Man he's a pretty good defensive deffender but all last season, and this season for Fenerbahce, I haven't seen him make 1 decent pass. All he does is give it away, he's not reliable at all

I like your formation and players, but I think replacing fatih with ozat would be perfect. Sukur needs to be there for sure, because for some reason defenders fear him, and he has a lot of expierence which would be inspirational to the younger turks.

Hasan sas for sure, I love him, but he deffinitely needs to get back into game form. Maybe he shouldn't start so quickly, but then again friendly's are the best place to start.

I love volkan, but nothing can replace Rustu. Rustu is a solid keeper, THE BEST in the world going through some really rough times, the poor guy has to leave barca go to another big club, or come back to fenerbahce. I still feel Rustu needs to start for us.

I would go with Ali Güneþ then, Ali Gunes is way better than Akyel, and instead Sas, I can go with Nihat and put Okan on the right side. Hakan Sukur needs another year or two, I don't think he will make it to the 2006 World Cup line up, but untill then, I think we need him. About Rustu, yes you are right he is great and I also love him, he should defenately start but I want another Rustu as soon as possible, thats why I would like Volkan to play the friendly matches.

I know im gonna get alot of grief for putting Hamit Altintop in the starting 11 but the kid is a beast he just gets every ball in the middle and i know hes only 21 but i think the more experience he gets playing with Emre, Yildiray, Nihat, Tuncay etc that his skill level will only go up and he will be much more comfortable with them and it would be much much smoother. Also if your gonna bring the young guns up like Hamit and Tuncay u gotta use them and not let them rot on the bench.

Nice line-up but Umit Davala is out of the lineup due to injuries, so you need to find some one for his position. I would put Ali Gunes and add Bulent instead of Fatih Akyel.

I thought Hamit was a forward player? I don't know much about him, may be I am mistaking.
