When did ESPN decide to start picking and choosing which friendlies to show?

Anyways, I'd put this line-up on the field:

GK: Howard

LB: Convey
CB: Bocanegra
CB: Gibbs
RB: Sanneh

LM: Beasley
CM: Reyna
CM: Armas
RM: Mathis

LF: Donovan
RF: McBride

All i know is that Honduras is one of the best in Central America...
its something like this:
1)Costa Rica
2)Honduras
3)Nicaragua
4)El Salvador
i say 2-1 USA

Why of all channels is it on Telemundo? That is non-sense.

I do have to admit it will be nice to see a somewhat close to full strength play again.

Howard will play, Friedel is out injured. I think FSW is picking the game up. Bastards ESPN. I look forward to the potential World Series of Poker reruns they will probably show in the timeslot.

Why does the US keep picking CRAPPY teams to play in friendlies?!?! How many times are they going to play honduras, jamaica, and other no name teams...with all due respect to these countries, US games are boring cuz they only play CRAPPY TEAMS (expect Mexico). US needs to play teams from OUTSIDE the North and Central America. Play SA teams, or African Teams..or SOMETHING. Im glad they played Poland, but geez....theres got to be better teams they can play:kader:

well we did play Argentina last year. Just played Holland and Poland this winter. We'd love to play teams other than CONCACAF teams but for some reasons they don't wanna play us. We'd love to play England and fans in England wanna play us but the FA doesn't think we'd be a big draw there.

Just off the top of my head, in the past few years the U.S. has played friendlies against The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, Argentina, and Paraguay. I've probably left out some other opponents, too.

It's hard, i mean you don't see many european nations reguarly play teams from outside of europe.

CONCACAF (outside of Mexico and the US, you could say Costa Rica) is just poor as far as football goes.

We could play Australia sometimes, that would be good for both the US and Australia, they wouldn't be playing Fiji and we wouldn't be playing Suriname.
