We'll just have to hope there is an "add league" option in the editor, with the US data available as an unofficial update...

Besides the fact that I am an American, this sucks. There were lots of good MLS players in the game. Eddie Pope was an asbolute stud, and Tim Howard was good as well. Well, Howard will be there anyway.

They probably had to remove the MLS (USA league) due to American copyright laws. For them to put the MLS in the league, they are supposed to pay the league. They should have tried to settle this with the league but I guess they either didn't try or didn't want to pay anything. The MLS should have just allowed them to do it. Now this is gonna suck because a lot of my favorite players won't be in the game.

I dont have a problem with the Us league bein out of da game. I never select this league, and finaly it wont be default selected (H) I believe all the playerz will be in the database... And probably the version in the US will have the US league in the game... I think

On the SI forum they say no players from the MLS will be in the game, US and foreign alike. So I don't know if your nation has internationals playing in the MLS? They won't be in the game...

Disturbing.

ARRRRGHH!!! I'm so PISSED at this decision. This was a decision by EIDOS, not SI nor the MLS. EIDOS decided to remove all US leagues (yes even the A-League is gone) So any player in those leagues (American or not) is gone from the database.

My suspicion is that because EA holds the rights to several leagues (including the MLS) that they'd eventually mention it to the MLS and thus cause an eventual lawsuit. Now, if Freddy Adu does not sign w/ any US club by the time the game comes out, he is in the game.

American players based in Europe will still be there (Reyna, Howard, Friedel, Keller,..others) There is an issue as to whether Landon Donovan will be included because he is on Loan from Leverkusen...BUT DAMN THIS DECISION SUX!!!!

I wonder how much longer it will take until the Premier League and the Football League take similar legal action? When that day comes, that will be the day when the game will be irrecovably ruined for me. The removal of the MLS is only the beginning I'm afraid. :(

i dont know it thats true Ruud, if internationals from FRANCE are playing in the US i expect them to be in the game

That's a damn shame. I like the U.S league, and in my current game i'm the U.S.A manager, which I assume will not be possible in 03/04 since most of the national players play in the MLS

I find it ridiculous that anyone can own the right's to a player or club other than the player or club themselves.

Ughh...how unrealistic. A World Cup w/out the US. This has totally ruined the fun of buyin CM 03/04. Scouting has just become a huge disappointment. this affect every aspect of the game.

IMO, the FA wouldn't sue SI or EIDOS, because they wouldn't want to cause a riot amongst the millions of UK-based CM fans.
