This was a very good match made by both teams.
But at the penalty shoot - out ... the goalkeepers didn't do anything cause they weren't able to block any shot.
And Buffon got lucky ... Trezeguet shooting in the cross bar. Now we can see why Raymond didn't put him in the line-up.
Italy was really the best team of this tournament.
I cannot believe how calmly Cannavaro was looking at the penalties ... he looked like he didn't care ... but when they won he finally moved :)
I hope Lippi will still be the coach of the NT.
And about Zidane ... he ended his career but not how he would have liked.

actually, this italy team did play some attractive football for the most part. just because they didn't score many goals doesn't mean they were boring.

this is a different italy team than before. they'll pick their spots when to attack while still defending well.
