There is no doubt about Seedorf's qualities. He's played in three CL finals and won three, so that speaks for itself. The problem with Seedorf is that he doesn't do what he's told to.
He has hardly ever played a good game in the national team. What good will it do to call him up again if Hiddink, Rijkaard, Van Gaal and Advocaat/Van Hanegem couldn't get him to play a decent game? Seedorf just has to do what he's being told to do and he should stop playing for himself.
At Milan there must be people (midfielders like Gatusso?) covering his ass I guess, but the way Holland plays, Seedorf is a major risk to your defence, because he doesn't track down his opponent coming from midfield, leaving the defence with a "man more" situation.

i feel that macedonia really sent a shockwave through the dutch. the dutch will be looking to bounce back after papers have said that it is one of their worst results ever. so like england did against macedonia a couple yrs ago, bouncing back from embarassment, holland should do this time around 2-0 for me. ruud to score both!!

I think it's van Basten's way to deflate some egos and he'll be selected at the last moment. I love Seedorf (just got a Milan jersey with his name on the back
) and his style of play.. the real problem is that when he plays for Oranje, he forgets to defend. He lets him man just walk. Oranje and Milan are different but I don't think he recognizes that. He really led during EURO 2004 and carried the team in Portugal and during the match vs. Scotland. I have mixed feelings about it.

The Finland attacker lobbed van der Sar and the ball bounced off the crossbar into the path of a very strong diving header. Straight in the back of the net. Very nice.
I'm watching it and I think it's just a matter of time before Holland equalises. It may end a draw though, depends how long Finnish defence can hold off the likes of van Nistelrooy and Sneijder.
