Well it's obvious :) RUUD IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!! AND HOW :p
Scores 2 goals in his first match after Euro 2004 damnnnnn what a striker we have in him, the first goal was a bit lucky but he's always on the right spot at the right time but the 2nd one was fantastic, Kuyt played the ball and RvN netted the ball brilliantly.
Sneijder was absolutely awesome today from the first minute till the moment he got subbed by van Bommel. I was at the stadium today and we gave Sneijder a standing ovation and he deserved it today. Saturday he played bad but today was the Sneijder we know from Ajax again just lovely :D
It's obvious why van Basten refused to take him out of the team and the trust he has in Sneijder and it payed of today.

Kuyt played really well too, he's a great winger and when he gets more experienced he will only become better in the future.
Davids played like a young pittbull, the Finnish offense like Hyppia had his hands full ;)
Another young wingplayer Castelen plays in the selection for a few matches now and he's doing better and better! Pasanen didn't stood a chance against him today.
Finally Heitinga played good again, I hope he continues this form with Ajax this weekend and the same goes for Nigel de Jong.
Today there were 4 Ajaxplayers in the team: Sneijder, vdVaart, de Jong en Heitinga :p and we have the future goalkeeper of Manchester United van der Sar IMO one of the absolute best in the world!! This guy is so calm and collective and the way he sometimes plays the ball by outplaying a striker of the opponent team is just lovely to watch. He learned to play like that when he started for Ajax in his youth :)

Oke a few answers for the guys who asked:

Robben is injured but he will be back soon!
Collins John was called a few matches ago and played a few friendlies with the Dutch team and he will be watched closely by van Basten in the future according to him.
The same goes for Kluivert, if he continues to play like this with Newcastle then you can be sure he will be one of the selection real soon, van Basten says he is watching his progress in England.

WE WON!! 3-1 YESSSSSSSSSSSSS MARCO VAN BASTEEEEEEEENN

Andorra 3-3
Armenia 4-0

We're the only ones without a loss (Y)

Starting XI
Our defence just couldn't cope with Ruud & co in the Netherlands attack. :(

I was hoping for atleast a draw, after the great 1-0 goal, but we didn't get it this time, and we aren't really looking strong, not even for the second place in this group. :(

If we would've had Forssell on the pitch, it would've given our midfielders some more options on the build-up in attacking situations and we propably would've been a lot stronger in this match.

Watch out for Eremenko jr., wasn't so special yesterday, but on our three previous matches he's been on fire and I don't really think that we need Litmanen anymore.

The first one was a real beauty. That overheadkick from Cocu was awesome. The second was a beatiful covered shot of Kuyt against bar, with some luck we got it in. The third was a good powerful shot of Ruud, bloody nice.

All in all it was a good match after the disgrace last saturday.

oh and BTW if Litmanen is perfectly fit every team would want him

Litmanen hasn't been perfectly fit for years now, and NEVER WILL BE AGAIN. Too bad. He's our former hero now and right now the Finnish team needs some new ones. We have one in the making in the shape of Alexei Eremenko jr.

Holland played very bad. We were lucky that the luck was on our side this match.
All three goals were mere luck than a result of tactical play.
Holland is no team. I was paying attention to how many times holland plays the ball backwards to the keeper. So many damn times while the Fins never played the ball back.
Holland plays very slow football, there is no surprise in their attacks. The midfield doesnt move they only stand still. When they play i can easily predict were they gonna pass. When the last man has the ball he always passes to the becks, that ones usually passes it back, so the ball goes to the other side in very slow pace. The beck usually passes it to an midfielder who finally showed up. At that point they usually lose the ball because the midfielder has no passing point, because the forwards are to static :kader: They miss players who can launch great passes from the back like Ronald de Boer is his good days. They miss technique, they need a good player who is good in short spaces and who can give good through passes, because the teams playing against holland will defend short and wont give much space
Holland is no good team, they are just an avarage team.
