As for Mexico, well the scenario is of course much, much different. Despite being inexplicably ranked ahead of the U.S. in the latest FIFA Rankings (#6 to America's #10), the Tricolores and their fervent supporters realize that they have been overtaken by America at the international level. Just look at the results, and it's nearly impossible to argue otherwise. A loss at Azteca to the U.S., and the word 'nearly' gets removed from the equation. It may not ultimately matter in their quest to reach Germany 2006, but for Mexico, this is a must-win match. Defeat at home to America, and the pieces will start to fall, beginning with manager Ricardo Lavolpe.

is funny to see how confident people get, really, 4-0 u.s. on sunday, that literally makes me laugh out loud, im gigglin as scroll down this thread and seein peoples resonses, ill be reasonable and real as i predict either a 1-0 mexican win or a draw, nothin more, nothin less...

I don't see the game being a more than 2 goal win for either team myself but, our side is the much better squad than Mexico and I will be at my local bar cheering when we beat you guys, and I hope that its a clean game

yeah were do they get off wit that, we got longevity when it comes to dominatin them in soccer, and yes ill admit that in recent years they probably got better than us (started when they founded their little league)
