its disappointing tat this patch cannot be made compatible online..
i don't think its that difficult because if other patches can be 100% compatible online why not this?
is that the reason why fm stats are never used in online competitions?
I am not saying that this patch sucks or anything..
i just think that this patch is more for offline play..

I really need help to install this new update stats, that I just downloaded, I have read the read me but im stuck at this point where it says, apply the 'WE8I Vuelta del Lobo Patch Update 1.afp' i have Select 'Import Patch then it says to apply the 'WE8I Vuelta del Lobo Patch Update 1.afp' file.
- Copy the 'save' file to the c:/Program Files/KONAMI/Winning Eleven 8I folder (overwrite the
existing one). I dont understand none of the part from where it starts to import and to apply the 'WE8I Vuelta del Lobo Patch Update 1.afp' file.

I'm not sure if this is 100% correctly done but it works for me.
Please correct me here if anything is wrong.
** Backup your 0_text.afs just in case **
1) Extract the 'WE8I Vuelta del Lobo Patch Update1.afp' file from your RAR archive, to any directory on your hard drive
2) Open AFS Explorer 3.6
3) Select 'File' then select 'Import AFS file...'
4) Browse to the directory on your hard drive where WE8:I is installed (eg. C![:\](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/vb/fslash.gif ":\ :\")
Program Files\Konami\Winning Eleven 8\) and then open the 'dat' folder and choose the file '0_text.afs'
5) Wait for the AFS file to be loaded
6) Select 'Advanced' then select 'Import patch...'
7) Browse to the directory where you extracted the 'WE8I Vuelta del Lobo Patch Update1.afp' file and import it.
8) AFS explorer will pop up a message saying something about temporal storage is needed, just click 'Yes'
9) AFS explorer will ask you if you want to load another afp patch, just click 'No'
10) AFS explorer will now pop up a window where you can choose what files you want to be patched with. Just click on 'Patch!' (If you want to have your Master League patched, tick the 'para_we8.bin' option and then click on 'Patch!')
11) AFS explorer will now ask you if you want rebuild the AFS file in order to save some unused space. It's not neccessary so if you don't want to, just click 'NO' and you're done otherwise, Click 'YES' and follow steps 16 - 24 below.
12) Log Window will pop up. Just wait for the files to finish
13) On the lower left side in AFS Explorer you will see a nice message saying: "AFS-Patch successfully applied!"
14) Exctract the 'save' folder from the RAR archive, to your /Winning Eleven 8I/save/folder1 (overwriting the existing one)

Option file update (and possibly patch update to include newly promoted teams) will be out after August transfer window closes. No point doing intermediate option file updates because they'll be out of date every week.
Just one question about the Spaniards. Why do a lot of them have such horrible balance? Vicente, Xavi, Deco, Xabi Alonso, Joaquin and Raul and some others. I don't watch a whole lot of soccer but is this realistic or a stat conversion oddity? The other good int. squads seem more consistent. Are they known for a lot of flopping/diving? Just wondering.
