West Ham do play pretty solid football, they deserved better against Bolton. I'm pretty sure they will survive this season. And well how about that Anton Ferdinand huh? I mistake him for Rio on the pitch all the time, has that Rolls Royce touch, how about you guys take Silvestre Tweety and we get Anton. The soul brothers Ferdinand unite in central defense! :rockman:

I love Benayoun, to be honest I knew very little about him before he came to West Ham, and when I first saw him I was like, "that guy isn't a football player, he's a fucking leukemia survivor", I mean he looks seriously ill. But his class has shone through, he makes great runs, incisive passes and best of all, he chases and harries and tackles as though his life depends on it. It's only a shame we don't have a decent right winger cos if he was tucked in behind the strikers, he'd be amazing.

Etherington has looked a little out of his depth IMO in the Premiership, I was watching some of our footage from last year and he was virtually our only avenue to goal (another reason why Yossi is so important). His main problem is that pace alone won't cut the mustard at the top level, which is how he burnt so many hack defenders in the Championship. He'll come good, I think, but it will take time.

As for Anton, how bout naw? We'll keep him until Rio turns about 31 and feels he's bled Glazer dry for long enough, and that it's time to come home. Ferdinand-Ferdinand >>>>>>>>>> Neville-Neville.

I believe Harewood today scored his first EPL goal in 7 years, no? Actually more like a hat-trick, after 7 years of long wait.

Yah, what a win for the Hammers. I know its a bit early to count the chickens and all that, but when you run over a midtable side like its nothing, its hard to see a team like that being relegated again. (Y)

Could be a sweet ass year if they manage to stay up and Kia Joorichianbiyankistan buys the team: I honestly think the guy is for real, and even if he was using West Ham as an investment opportunity, he would have to make the club good on the pitch to make any significant flow (C)

I had to start work at 6am this morning (about when the second half started), left when we were 1-0 up thinking, 'oh, this is going OK'. Get home and settle in for the rest of the game on tape and just got progressively more shocked, amazed, excited and proud. Sure, Villa were gash, but we were just :hump:

Yossi's goal >>>>>>> every goal ever ;)

What a great goal by Benayoun. Made a fool of the defender, and a good finish too. Let's see if West Ham can maintain that kind of form. A cool team to watch in all honesty.

Is that the first thing you thought of after reading my post? What are you fully American? Immigrated from Britain? You wouldn't know what it is to have a player of such a high level for a country like mine.

As for bringing him up in every post, do you just read my post in the Arsenal thread or you really have trouble counting :ewan: ?

I understand that you like Hleb, as he is a great player, but I dont see the need to state how great u think he is in a lot of your posts, that is all. And im not american.

Credit to West Ham.

The Fulham/West Ham game was one of three games yesterday which were real good old fasioned fast, end to end premiership games.

For a team like West Ham with one prirority to stay up it would have easy to play 9 behind the ball and sit on the lead.

Hopefully West Ham's example will get through to other managers, without naming any names.
