Ok, no one gives a damn anymore, but still, I think it's worth a thread.
Ricardo Teixeira, Brazilian FA eternal president (he's been re-elected again, and is set to be president until the 2014 WC if Brazil is chosen as host - he was first elected in 1989) was reported by Brazilian newspaper O Estado de Sao Paulo to have revealed some 'secrets' about the Brazilian preparation for the World Cup.
Among other things, he said:
"There were players who would arrive between 4 and 6 am. Drunk."
About the time spent in Weggis, Switzerland, preparing for the tournament:
"It was obvious it wouldn't work. How didn't anyone see that?" (yes, he didn't see it either)
He also mentioned Ronaldo's weight, one of the main talking points of the tournament:
"How can an athlete come to a World Cup weighting 98 kilograms? I'm almost that weight and I'm no athlete."
