I haven't slept in 25 hours now, and for about 24 of those ive been looking at a f*cking computer screen trying to get this work done...

Now I've finally snapped, I was just looking at Tom's Emma Watson sig and i thought it was a gif and she was winking at me...

Dear god... Let me sleeeeep.... (C)

hahaha tell me about it! i thought i was the only one

here i am at the university library... I've been here since 5 PM yesteday.... its 5:30 AM now. Just over 12 hours and I've been sipping coffee all night and reading close to 425 pages for my final tomorrow. Haven't slept a wink in 2 days.

procrastination.... :( and the worst part is I never seem to learn. I always find myself pulling off herculean, all-night cram sessions just before D-day.

3 litres of pure un-sugared un-creamed coffee kept me awake for 2 days straight during my Finals last year studying.

The experience was spiritually awakening.

yep i hear you Johnny. I cant honestly believe that im still doing such stupid stuff. Yesterday (just ask bobby) i was online from 3pm - midnight writing a logbook that i SHOULD have been doing in november :( Ended up being 19,000 words :( :( :(

Three deadlines next week, none of it i've even started.

Why do we put ourselves through this every year (H)

EDIT - Oh yeah, and yesterday i thought time was going backwards because it seemed to be midnight forever... not quite as bad as a winking-emma watson, but hey!

Thats why I only lasted a year at Uni. I was fed up of going into Uni for 9am through till about 5pm and then getting back to my house and working till some stupid time in the night. I felt like I had no life when I lived there.

doing finals now, 4 down 2 to go... seriously, I've had absolutely no life for the past month or so :( studying pretty much all day every day... but I'm almost done, and it makes summer look so so much sweeter :lui:

but it's not in me to procrastinate, bites you in the ass in the end. plus when I delay something I always end up feeling guilty :(

cant believe some of you guys have never pulled a classic "all nighter".

20mins the most you've done? gawd, you've not lived until you check the clock and realise its actually too late (and hence early) to go to bed (H)

I should have really picked a degree without a sh*tload of maths and with stuff that I could just read 2 or 3 times and make up the rest with chit chat at the tests, just because I can't bring myself to start studying a week before or so, nevermind studying a bit every day.

But then again it would have been better to just have joined a private college like a friend of mine. He does absolutely sh*t all, the tests are ridiculously easy and even if he flunks them, he never really does, the punishment is getting a classification of 10 out of 20, hence you always pass because you pay a monthly fee.

Yep. To answer your question as to how we can do this King, it's pretty easy when you haven't started writing a paper and it's due in 18 hours. Not so difficult under those conditions. And now I've procrastinated to a never before seen level...

I'm in a seminar, where the only work you do all semester is write a 20-25 page high level research paper. It's the only class I MUST take for a history major. I've done most of the research, but I haven't started putting my ideas and research on paper yet. It is 5:11 PM on Thursday right now, my professor wants it in by the weekend. Luckily I can electronically submit it late Friday night, but still. It's not really that easy to just crank out a 20 page research paper in 24 hours. I'm thinking maybe 9 hours tonight, then sleep, and then maybe 10 or more hours tomorrow. Working on the same thing.

Could have written this thing at any point during the semester mind you.

totally agree Shifty, doesnt matter how hard it is King. When you you know your entire degree rests on you actually getting "something" in then you'll realise how students find that extra-mile to be able to go the whole distance. I tell you, a lot of people have a go at students but you'll not find many people who can write thousands of well-written words between midnight and 6am lol.

Oh and i think thats a plan Shifty, despite all nighters being fun, IF you can avoid them its usually best to. Mind you some of my mates have got their best grades doing them soo.....

Yea, that explains it, when u r under pressure you almost do everything. But still i did hate to write that long reports and projects, that was the main reason i didn't choose the majors like English, Law, History etc.

last minute work really brings out the best in me. The huge majority of my GCSE coursework was done last minute and that got me 8 As (Y). I spose i like the huge pressure of the thought that i HAVE TO do this now, there is no other choice, it makes me focus - which at most other times is severly lacking.

I've always performed alot better under pressure, i spose that's why i much prefer exams to coursework.

All-nighters and immensley high doses of coffee are something i severely try to avoid, mainly due to the drastic effect that caffeine can have on ones sugar level.

Done with all my finals :lui: :lui:

All i need is to finish my minor and i graduate finally :jap:

..back to the topic, I can only work under pressure. If i have all the time in the world I can't get myself to take things seriously.

I studied 14 chapters (an average of 20-25 pages each) in one night. I could have done at least half of that over the weekend but no....
