Crystalpalace seems to have a thing about beckham... and manchester utd. When crystal palace win the trebel then feel free to insult united. but that aint gonna happen. And beckham is one of the worlds best players and ever since the 98 world cup everyone hates him. Remember he isn't the one who missed the penalty. Lay off will you!

all these people hate united because the team they support generally are not as succesful
as the boys in red. So what do you do if your team does not have a becks, keane, scholes, cole, and a yorke, why you make fun of em. take becks for example he gets hammered on this forum from jealous idiots,
he called gay(isnt he married to a woman?), then he sucks(best crosser in the game!

then the best thing just try to stand up for manu against most of these degenterates and you get called a fashion supporter or some other crap, but if you say something about them they get all offended and make up piles of crap on why they dont like united the best reason i found out was someone didnt like thier attitude, im like who the hell cares heres a tissue you baby!!!

I believe that Manchester Utd are hated for several reasons :

1. The British mindset that abhors success. We don't mind the underdog winning as long as it doesn't get a taste for it.

2. The have a great habit of stuffing most of our teams with great regularity.

3. They are the world's richest club.

4. Their team is managed by the most arrogant man to walk the face of the Earth in my perception, who whilst cannot be faulted for his managerial excellence or his tactical accumen, still believes that the game of football belongs solely to his club and we should bow down in obeyance. The clock watching, non acceptance of the other team when Manchester lose or draw - it is all down to the fact that Man Utd played badly, the slagging off of former members of his staff in a torrid autobiography, the silly mind games against other managers, the constant chewing and subsequent spitting of chewing gum onto the pitch.
AAAAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH Okay he has won things, but his deportment pales into insignificance next to Bobby Robson, a true Gentleman and far more worthy of the title "Sir".

5. They have loads of Glory seeking fans, who have never looked up Manchester on a map, nevermind visited the place.

6. They have lots of players who have a face that is just looking for a slap.

7. They are over exposed by the media. We are just sick of hearing about them.

8. They have just had a "HOLIDAY" in Brazil whilst the rest of us have been stuck here frozen and soaked. Nice dodge boys, get knocked out early so we can have a week on the beach !

9. Their chairman, (allegedly), scores more times than the team, on the aforementioned trip to Brazil. Okay, he had to pay for it though.

10. We love doing it !

Well said walton. I actually wanted Manchester to win the treble last season and was very glad for them when they did.
As for Beckham, I quite enjoy watching him play but the sooner he divorces that lying bitch the better. I think Beckham has the best cross in the world! Weren't expecting that were you. If you support a team you shoould have either lived there or you are a glory hunter. Machester last year were one of the most exciting teams to watch. They played the game of the season against Barca in the Nou Camp.
Hey Divola, your knowledge of football is tiny. England were dominating so much till Beckham lashed out. The ref shouldn't have sent him off I admit. If Beckham hadn't of got sent off the poms would've won. How can you acuse Batty of missing a penalty in the most unjust ways of deciding a game. Fergie was facing the sack and united were on the verge of relegation.... sure i was really seeking glory!!.The main reasons I started following united are as follows
1 . was the fact they had a similar uniform to my club at the time.
2 i must say Eric Cantona has got to be another reason.

You insulting my knowledge of football?? i've been playing the bloody game for a club since i was 6 and being in an half italian/half english family soccer is thrust upon you. like it or not. You might think because i'm an aussie we know sweet F*** all about football. check the teams in the UK and you'll find these great players... All australian - Mark Bosnich, Harry Kewell, Mark Schwarzer, Danny Tiatto, Mark Viduka.. and probably a lot more in the 2nd and 3rd Divisions.
I'm not insulting any other team... even if i hate arsenal and west ham. But what i can't stand is people who follow teams in minor divisions saying that manchester united are crap and un-talented. how come they are 2nd in the prem league? with a couple of games in hand. Sure it's only just past the half way mark in the season..
