England 2 - Portugal 3 in the Euro 2000 was the most emotional for me. The feeling of turning the result around against one of the strongest national teams in the world was priceless, allied to the fact that the goals were awesome.
That along with the semi final against France. I was shedding tears of joy when Nuno Gomes scored the first goal.

In the Portuguese League it was Benfica 6 - Sporting 3 back in 94/95 or something like that.

1990 world cup final. great comedy value. how can anything top klinnsman's dive and monzon getting sent off. then dezotti grabbing kohler and throwing him to the ground and being shown a red. the funniest part was when maradona went down and the argetinine bench started to bring a stretcher on as a joke and brehme screamed at them to get off the pitch. dont forget littbarski hacking calderon from behind either.

1999-2000, West Ham vs. Bradford at Upton Park, we won 5-4 after being 4-1 down. It was particularly poignant for me as it was the last match my grandfather (a mad West Ham fan) saw before he died - and it was typical West Ham, poor defence but attacking flair winning out in the end.

My team won, and my idol scored the winning goal. I loved that game.

Coming a close second would be the win over Arsenal last season. The game didnt get much more importent than that one and we absolutly shone! Kewells goal was magnificent and Harte pulled a great free out of his arse. I was shaking like a leaf when the final whistle blew on that one(H)

I saw that FA CUP game and to this day I hate Giggs, but, what I will always remember is that it was the game where Bergkamp hit his peak.
It is impossible for a player to have had a better game than he did, and I have seen many football matches.
Passing, dribbling, shooting, he can look at that game over and over when he gets old and say to himself
"I was a damn good player!"

if i remember correctly, didn't he also miss a penalty in that very match?
i haven't seen the game, but if you're raving on about his play in that game, must have been really depressing for him to miss a penalty and thus lose his side the game.
i love that guy though, what a legend he is. it's sad he's past it. i started watching football only in the 2001/02 season, and he was so brilliant that year, i instantly fell in love with his style of play.

Man, hasn't anyone here seen any classic games from before this decade? Maybe you missed Italy-Brazil from World Cup 82.

OK then, my 2nd favourite game ever is Real Madrid 7 defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 3 at Hampden Park for the 1960 European Cup. Puskas scored 4, possibly the highest point in his career until he came to Australia to coach South Melbourne.

First thing that comes to mind was Holland's demolition of Yugoslavia during EC2000. We beat them 6-1 and we're playing the best football ever, that was total football in every aspect of the term. And Yugoslavia was a good side back then. We totally owned them, it's still a shame that we didn't cap it all by winning the tournament.

aha, ok ok.

I thought it was something like this but "rebaño" sounds so ... ehem... how can I say? so animal.

I'm talking in spanish from Spain. Here we would never call a group of players "rebaño", unless they are rival players.

It may be one of those words that have slightly different meaning on both sides of the atlantic. he he :crazyboy:

thanks for the explanation.
