Thierry Henry has amazing acceleration as can be seen when he slows down with the ball then just takes of again when the defender too has slowed down.........I have watched virtually every Arsenal game this season and he is improving with every game.

I dont think Roberto Carlos is as quick as he used to be. I would say from what Ive seen, Henry is the fastest, but I havnt seen every player in the world.
I remember somebody saying Rommedahl is the fastest, so maybe he is.

I wanna see martins pace henry then u lot will realise martins is the fastest player in the world right now. His acceleration is 10 times quicker than henry's. he so quick that it'll take henry about 50 metres or so to start to close in on him. dont believe me watch inter. no one in italy can keep up with him. He burnt Junior a while ago and junior is one of the quickest left backs i have seen. But then again martins lacks control and and has little composure which henry has. Henry's top speed is definitely quick.
