Who is the most complete midfielder?

He could, but Nedved would just take the ball once Zidane tired out. Nedved's stamina is better ;)

And we were talking about a complete player, not a defensive or attacking specialist. I dont think you can call Zidane an all arounder. Its his attacking grace that he is known for.

the most complete midfielder ive seen is beckham... he can pass... attack... defend...score... do almost anything on the field...

pretty close to him are...seedorf...scholes...roy keane...

Strange why Zidane dominates others so far, while he absolutely can't do anything when it comes to defending. Beckham is even more complete than him, like 314frog said he can defend, pass, shoot, tackle. The only difference is dribbling, Beckham can't Zidane can, but dribbling doesn't make a player the most complete. Does it?

It is definetly Verón! But only if u count a central midfielder. Hecant play as a winger. If u count the whole midfield I think it would be him, David :p Yummy:p Beckham

Stevie G... but he's a scouser so its Roy Keane :rockman: he can defend, pass, tackle, and shoot piledrivers although he doesn't as often. I think he is better than Vieira because Arsenal are doing very well as a team of experienced players, while Man U are full of youngsters and there's much much more pressure on Keane.

It's very nice to see a girl that knows about soccer to be honest, for me is the perfect girl. But "yummy" is not a familiar language around here, that all. ;)

is that supposed to be an explanation for keane being better than viera.

Sorry i dont see how keane is or was ever better than Viera is now, can he tackle, dribble past 3-4 players, and assist, i havent seen a player switch so quickly from defence to attack

Keano is a great player....
but to say that he's THE MOST complete midfielder is not fair.
so, in comparing THE MOST complete midfielder between Keane and Viera, i think Viera > Keane
But this doesn't mean that Viera is THE MOST complete midfielder :p

btw, I think Gerrard is the best atm.
