why women shouldn't be refs?

got this of a norwegian site. it's taken from a 3. division game in brazil when a player from one team shots and the ball hits the sidenetting. The players walk out on the pitch waiting for the goalkick when one of the kids who get's the balls whenever they leave the pitch (ballboys which I call them) kicks a ball into the net.
The ref. got her back to the stiuation and when she turns around the ball is in the net and she blows for goal. the game ends 1-1. nice (Y)

Oh, Silvia Regina. She's terrible. She used to ref. first division games in the past. There was a game, between São Paulo and Guarani at my hometown (i support Guarani), she won the game for São Paulo by herself.

Glad to see she still sucks at the job, hopefully they'll ban her.

No, but we from Brazil have seen enough of her, and she sucks. But, what the hell was the linesman doing?

Like that has anything to do with her being a woman. A bad ref is a bad ref. I bet there are far more bad male refs than female (stands to reason, as there are more male refs). It's just that someone would like to point it out as a way to say something idiotic like "Women shouldn't be referees"

In Mexico there was a woman ref in the first division(Virginia Tovar) and she did just fine.

I once played in a high school game reffed by a 55+ year-old woman. She was a good ref too, didn't take sh*t from nobody.

well...what the ****...that dumb ball boy had no right to kick the ball into the goal...wht the **** was he thinkin?! "oh i'll hav a kickabout before they resume game"...he didnt even admitted it to the ref that he kicked it...jesus christ...im just soo pissed...none of the opposing players were even honest enough to tell the ref...and the fans and the commentator started screamin and celebratin...if i only have my way...the team who just "scored" would be banned from football forever...the commentator n the ballboy n the ref n linesmen would get an ass rapin of a lifetime from the cheated team... :boohoo:

people who say things like women are inferior are not only sexist but they must be gay. The days of those kind of remarks are far gone. Some women are doing better than men these days. But if Brazil FA chose to use a woman to ref. Then thats the situation. Making comments like that wont change a thing. It just makes people look silly.

It was truly ridiculous. Plus the fact that you could easily consult with the linesmen.

Anyway, if referees in the WC can give out 3 yellow cards in a match, it shouldn't surprise that a 3rd division ref in Brazil gives a free goal.

The linesman said he thought the ball was in when it was first shot. He then ran to the halfway line, BEFORE the ballboy put it into the net. The players complain about it to the ref, the ballboy kicks it in and the ref sees the ball into the net. She checks the net for a hole or something, then asks the assistant for his opinion. He tells her he was sure the ball went in, and she validates the goal...

Anyway, dumb thread title, but valid point about a horrible referee, regardless of her sex.

I just made that title because of the fact that it was a chick who made that call it raised a debate in brazil if women should be refs in mens game.
Any ref who had made this call is an idiot, but when a women does it in a mens game the attention it gets is even bigger. And it's obvious she shouldn't be a ref at such a high level.

And I never said women are inferior.
