Another couple of Q?

Do keepers still come way off there line like in PES5 even when the back 4 are positioned along the 18yrd line.

Loads of times in PES5 when you get through the back 4 or try to with a pass the keeper is right there diving at your feet. Now in real football with the back 4 or more just outside or inside the pen-box the keeper might close the angle or get ready to , but most often than not he's positioned inside his 6yrds box ... Too many time in PES he out blocking your shot even when you 16/17yrds out.. I guess Konami did this to make it harder to score but its not life like ... well not the amount of times it happens in PES ..

Is the passback rule in the new PES or does the keeper still pick up the ball ... or drop on it ..

Are you talking about passing the ball back to the keeper? If you are, in PES5 they were not allowed to pickup the ball if it was given to them by a teammate who used their foot to pass. If you headed it back to the keeper then they would grab it.

This "game" has 0 out of 10 written all over it.

Pathetic. Woeful. Risible.

What has happened to KCET? Did they sack all the good programmers?

Winning Eleven 10 is the best of all series. You have to play it long enough with 4 or 5 stars difficulty. A total different experience.

We10 has some good features. I read that all bugs in We10 will be fix for Pes6. Great. It could be the best footy.

For any1 thats played WE10

Are the European and Australian PS2 versions the same eg. PAL and...

In WE10 obviously it will still have last seasons squads not the upcoming squads but do they have the official kits from 05/06 for Serie A team AS Roma because i know that in PES5/WE9 they still only had the 04/05 kit for soem teams AS Roma being one of them.

Hopefully some1 thats played the game can tell me.

Thanks,
Mick

I think winning eleven 10 is the best one so far.
I have played winning eleven since its 3rd version when it was still on the PS1.

WE10 is very good when you play the 6 stars difficulty.
it makes the game realistic, you just need to pass more and create chances.

You guys need to play more and stop complaining how this game sucks.
just admit that you guys are not good enough for the game.

Yep, can't wait until March/April 2007 until we finally get it in North America!

On second thoughts, I'll probably just import the PC version of PES6 rather than wait WE:PES2007 is out over here in March/April 2007. WE11 will almost be out by then. It's not much fun playing a game that is almost a year behind the original release and almost 6 months behind the European release yet have the exact same out-of-date orsters and identical gameplay.

Perhaps it's Konami's master plan to have poor sales in North America and justify not bothering at all with the market here.

And before anybody makes a comment, I know it says January 2007 as the release date for the USA but I can guarantee you that will NEVER happen. Every year before the release, it always states the release date as Jan/Feb and we end up getting it in late March at the earliest (or almost May this year in the case of the PC version).

I've just got my hands on a WE10 copy... After just like 10 matches last night, here is my opinion: Gamespeed is screwed up, actualy, it is more then 10% faster then the old version. It gives it an arcadish feeling. I still haven't figured out the defence positioning and timing, but the game definitely gives more advantage to the attackers. The direction in which Konami went here is definitely opposite from the previous issues.
The ref looks brilliant, and is more strict... The advantage sign doesn't show any more, which is silly in a way... the players should be aware of ref's hands up! The keepers look more real with many moves and saves added, but, keeper can no longer catch a ball with both hands, at all.If you shoot across the middle of the goal, the keeper bends, and punches it away, and it happens all the time. It gets annoying, like that handball they added in one of the previous series... they wanted to bring something new, but they simply always add to much! The good thing is that the ball is even more free, a lot more moves and situations, so, I look forward to PE7, hopefully with these details fixed! I just hope that we won' have to fix the marks for players like we had to in PES2!

That sounds promising... :nape:
I don't really know what to expect from Konami anymore. Now that they are releasing ten different versions of the game per year they really don't seem to have the time to actually develope their favorite child. I hate to say this but it seems that PES is starting to be more and more like FIFA. No real improvements just a slight update. But enough about that...
The new referee sounds promising as in PES5 the ref is not a football referee since in real life football players get red and yellow cards for fouling. Maybe Konami should learn the rules of the game first...
I don't really mind about any new moves or stadiums or any other irrelevant **** but what I would really like to see in PES6 is that Konami has finally left out the "additional help" from the cpu in controlling the players´movements on the field like:
1. when I press left my player first moves right and after that maybe left.
2. When I want my player to run STRAIGHT TOWARDS the ball they make a retarded curve so it takes longer to reach the ball.
3. When heading the ball especially in my own box when the clock is ticking at 89 minutes my player would really obey my command and not the cpu's vision of how a defender acts which is much more friendly towards the attacker as the cpu prefers to make my defender twist and shake and the attacker scores a nice header.

If these issues were fixed (even a bit) it would make PES6 a better game than PES5.
Some people have said in this forum that the cpu just can't play creatively due to PS2 capabilities and that is why it cheats. I don't believe this because I've seen some real beauties from the cpu in PES5 (especially a freekick combination which led to probably the most beautiful goal I've seen in PES).
I'd also would like to know if there are any new competitions in the new game like Champions League with both home and away games in group phase and play-offs. It is really wierd that Konami Cup wont let you choose this if you play with groups.

Winning Eleven 9 speed was perfect, well at least you can edit speed in 10 under edit player option so that's no big deal, I guess. The only changes needed for WE10 are to cut down on ref strictness, tweak through balls (especially in air), improve special moves (fakes, stepovers, etc.), improve chip shot sensitivity, fix pitches(no more tv scanlines), give more importance to the crowd, fix audio(needs 5.1 surround). I'm really looking forward to WE on Xbox360, PS3...that's when you'll see vast improvement. They've hit the ceiling w/ ps2 procesing power.
