Bud, this whole forum is pretty much the opposite of my opinion and I don't post in every one that counters my view. That's the difference. Every time I mention that Konami are less than perfect, there you are, posting in my threads. Do you see me post in every thread about how great the game is? Do I tell them or you to stop kissing Konami's ass? Nope, but the moment I open a thread there you are, telling me to shut up and when I tell you to quit telling me to shut up, you say it's your free speech right to try and destroy my free speech!!! Yeah, not ironic at all!

Free speech means both sides of the argument have a right to a voice but you appear in my threads telling me not to post my opinions yet like I said, the only time I post about yours is when yours consist of telling me to shut up - notice the difference? And don't tell me that's all I ever post, that's all you ever want to notice.

If Konami hadn't f***ed up, there would be zero excitement about Juce's new LOD mixer but the fact is, people are delighted that somebody has fixed a bug Konami left in when they'd already fixed the problem but couldn't be assed to share it with the market outside of Japan. On any other gaming forum, people would understand that's crappy customer service.

Let's make a deal. Don't open my threads or post in them because if negative feedback encourages any action from Konami it'll benefit everybody in the community. If pointing out the bugs in games is shouted down and Konami just browse forums and see everybody kissing their ass, things like not fixing the crowd bug in future releases will never change. Look how quick Konami were to deny the GameXone TV report that WE9 wasn't being released in North America when I posted that. They informed PESFan within 48 hours that it wasn't the case. As soon as some anger came to the service by pissed off customers they reacted quickly to it. You try to stamp out people demanding more from the game and Konami then you take away one of the ways which this game will get better. That's true in every business in the world so please quit telling me to post about things which are true, but you just don't like me talking about. Whether you can see it or not, I'm trying to get the best out of Konami for everyone, everywhere, not just the Asian market. At this point in time they think only a handful of people like myself give a crap about it so they'll react accordingly and do nothing.

I know this forum would be enraged if PES5 was released in October and then a superior version got released in North America the following month which they discovered actually existed before the European PES release but Konami just didn't bother updating the BETA that was leaked back in September (other than activate the online components). The truth is that this year, both Europe and North America (when we finally get it 6 months later) got a BETA. It didn't even have any kind of feature that the original WE9 release had with the Road to the World Cup feature 'Nippon Challenge'. Subsequent releases in Japan have it so obviously PES5 is actually just a BETA. They left the England .bin files in the AFS but didn't put them in the game FFS - how much proof do you need?

Do you remember Konami making a statement saying it will include a feature in the game that will please many European customers as the team will feature prominently in the World Cup? What happened? Nothing! The official Konami website for PES5 and for the North American WE9 release both say "new leagues" but there are no "new leagues" over what PES4/WE8 had. Some different teams in the misc. section, sure, but no new leagues. Again, Konami didn't finish the job or include what they promised! You might be able to understand it a little with the speed of the PES5 release after the original WE9 (despite the fact it's bad proofreading at a minimum) but do Konami really have an excuse to put it on the North American WE9 release that still has another 4 months until release?

Are they just using a crappy automatic language translator? They must be because it's either that or incompetence. You know what perfectionists the Japanese are and their "honor" system when they mess up. In Japan, if you make a mistake and do nothing about it, it indicates deliberate disrespect - ask anybody who has studied or lived/worked in Japan. They learn that pretty quickly, that other businesses you trade with take errors as disrespect because there is no excuse for errors in the first place if you respect your customer enough. To then not correct those errors is a serious slight and in Japan, businesses will stop trading with each other because of such things. I've got 3 friends who have worked in Japan from college for between 3-5 years and one is still there. Disrespect in Japan is never accidental if uncorrected.

Anyway, enjoy the game. I do, but I want better service from Konami.

***Disrespect in Japan is never accidental if uncorrected.***
Great, now you're a freakin' Samurai :nape:

Yo, F ucko.

Your credibity went for a dump when u posted this http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?t=125991&highlight=wolf

Do us all a favor and shag-off then, eh?

Get off the fence, Chaci. The Wolf's creds have gone for a complete dump. Go play FIFA, Chooch.

No dude, you don't get irony at all. The fact you replied again just proves it. You're like somebody who watches a tv show that you hate and then complains about it. If you don't like what I write, why read it? Some people on here agree with me, others don't. If I hated somebody's postings on certain topics though I wouldn't read them!

If I hated PES5 I wouldn't play it but that seems to be too difficult for you to understand. Like I said, if you don't want to read criticisms of the game or Konami, don't read them - is that really too much rocket science for you?

As for your generalizations about where I live, what I do etc. again, your accuracy is matched only by your lower quartile IQ.

Second quote: No dude, you don't get irony at all. The fact you replied again just proves it. You're like somebody who watches a tv show that you hate and then complains about it.

You really can't be serious. Read what I wrote then read your rebuttal. Come on. You can't be that stupid...

Trist, if I may call you Trist? You've made awesome patches for this game. Are we now to believe that that in itself fooled us all into believing you were actually intelligent enough to decipeher that we are all linked by a VIDEO GAME?!?!?!

You tell us not to read your opinions, to ignore them. Yet, when we respond negatively, we are in the wrong?

Typical of you, man. Complaining once again.

Did you take that shower yet? Might want to turn the water to "COLD" to wake yourself the-f uck-up!

Wolf, I love how you twist a disagreement to suit your needs. Free speech, don't like don't read it, blah blah blah. :boohoo:

I never told you to shut up. I only asked if you had anything better to do with your time...........see the difference, I doubt it.

I'm sorry, I didn't have the time to read the entire thing.

Konami has been doing this since like forever, Wolf.

There was WE5, WE5 J-L, WE5FE and then PES1 for Europe, etc..
WE9LWE = WE9FE.

This is nothing new.

I will write more later. I have some ideas.

This is getting a bit out of control.
Perhaps mods should pay more attention to this thread. Certainly, everybody can have and express his own opinion, but this has grown into a mini-series of personal insults. Regardless of what he says or thinks about PES5, The Wolf deserves far more respect than shown here.

Shards is now tracking me across different forums to write to me!

And he's edited his signature to ask if I personally think "his balls need air"!

Am I the first Soccer Gamer poster to have gained their own homosexual cyber-stalker? And if I am, do I win a free copy of WE9:I for the XBox when it's out?

It's a busy Monday at the office.

Knock it off with the personal attacks. All of you.

If I see one more post with personal attacks, this thread will be closed and people will be carded.

Hey tristan,

I actually had emailed Konami a few weeks ago asking if the Xbox version would be BC with the 360. They said that they weren't sure and didn't have an announcment about that. We'll see. I'm waiting for a next-gen system so I'll just stick to the PS2 release anyways.

It would be strange if it isn't given PES5 is compatable with the European 360's yet WE9:I is exactly the same game! You'd figure Konami would know but nobody in their customer service seems to know anything. They couldn't even confirm the PS2 version of PES5 would be online less than four weeks before launch even though the beta was floating around with the online option clearly in the menu but disabled.

Another thing, all of the gaming websites have Feb 28th listed as the release but the "official" Konami website says SPRING 2006 which essentially means anytime between March 23rd-June 22nd!!!

I don't think I'll be buying it if I have to wait until April as I'll probably just get WE9:LE for the PS2 especially as it will be 2 more versions (WE9:JL/KL & WE9:LE) advanced than WE9:I. It will be a big backwards step going back to an exact PES5 copy from Sept. when WE9:LE will have already been out for a month or two. Hopefully the rosters in WE9:LE will be pretty up to date to.

Actually, just received this email reply from Konami to mine:

Dear Konami Customer,

We regret to inform you that at this time we have no information regarding Winning Eleven 9, and if it is compatible with the XBOX 360. Please keep checking our website, as when information is announced, it will be posted there first. http://www.konami.com/gs

Sincerely,

KDEA- Customer Support

I'm sure it's going to be compatible. I'm just worried that they won't support widescreen. I'm not even going to hold my breath for HD. I'm already happy with PES5 so I may just skip WE9I this year.

Nuno

Starting XI
That would be retarded. Like I said, I'm probably going to skip WE9I this year unless it supports the Xbox 360 and widescreen. No point in playing a stretched version on my HDTV. Ronaldo's fat enough as it is.

PES5 on my PC is great as it is.

He isn't tracking you. We both have the PES and Fifa06 games installed and we caught your post while exploring the different forums.
First you whine cause the game sucks and switch to fifa and then you come back to konami and beg for them to release YOUR U.S. version. What? was EA not listening to your constant complaining???

Might want to ask your president to invade their headquarters and snatch you a copy!!!

Oh dear, 'Darth Shards' and 'Nod Vader'! No chance you two are the same person then! You mention "we" a couple of times, are you like boyfriend/boyfriend or different sides of the same transgender individual?

If you have any more quantum leaps in terms of assumations to be made, please go join a conspiracy website because I'm sure all their missing is a trangendered, homosexual, stalker with multiple personalities to complete the diversity range!

Wow, this gets more interesting!

(Note to Nuno - sorry man but I'm not asking these idiots to keep coming back every third posting and insulting me!)

This is the truth, but unfortunately the army of fanboys has become too massive to hold back. Look at this thread on PESfan for example, where the thread starter is simply ponting out a flaw or mistake with the game (bad implementation of backpass rule) and instantly gets a bunch of morons on his back saying things like 'this is not a flaw because this happens in real life and you shouldn't be whining, shut up.' There is an excuse for everything and that's the feedback Konami certainly enjoys as they can apparently take europeans and americans for morons, to whom they can sell whatever junk they wish and still get a 90% positive feedback. The irony of this is the fact, that when Konami actually happens to remove these bugs or flaws for PES6 (or whatever the next release will be), the same fanboy army will list this within the most important 'major' improvements and they most definitely will bash PES5 to the ground like they're doing with PES4 this year.

Anyone noticed they changed the original cover? The last time I checked the site, they had a cover with CGI Del Piero in NT.
Now they have they have Terry.

A couple of thoughts:

1) The game is listed for both PS2 and Xbox with Online Play. Oviously good.

2) Yes, Wolf, since the game is essentially the same as PES5, it will be compatible with Xbox360 as long as PES5 is. That's because the engine is the same.

3) With that being said, the game will still contain all the bugs, etc. from PES5. So no crowds, outdated squads and so forth.

Based on the past releases, there is absolutely no reason to get your hopes up about them fixing those issues.

The only hope is a downloadable patch via Xbox Live / PS2 memory card which might come later.

4) Now, why is that? KONAMI, controrary to some people here think, is no different than EA - they're a business. They look to make money and save money. The only thing is they have a product to back them up.

From our point of view, there is nothing stopping them from releasing WE9FE as the American version. Possibly a month delay at best.

Why don't they then?

Greed? Possibly. Maybe they want us to buy the American version, realize it's **** and then buy the newer one. It's a lot cheaper to just modify the old code and convert it over to NTSC. It can be done in Japan and with minimal cost.
Another crazy idea, maybe they modify the code at the same time as they finish WE and post the expenses for the same period that WE brings them a lot of money so it won't look bad. That way for the next financial period, they will only deduct the publishing/manufacturing costs.

Why don't they release WE in Sept as they do PES?
Another crazy thought - maybe soccer games don't sell good during this period. But on the other hand, EA releases FIFA here in Q4 so.. Doesn't the MLS start in the 1st Q in the US? Perhaps they want coecide with the start of the season.

I don't know, I'm just trying to find an explanation for this.

In my mind there is absolutely no reason to delay the release till spring and on top of that, release the OLDEST version.

Maybe they don't care? KONAMI knows PES will sell in Europe and they know that they will still sell couple more copies in the US now that the series is more recognizable so they try to make a quick buck at no cost.

The Jap release is the real money maker. I would image it takes a 100,000 copies to break even, keeping in mind the lower dev costs since they're using the same enginge year after year. The other 900,000 is their money. The other 1,000,000 they sell in Europe is extra money. Almost no dev costs. Holy **** imagine that. They now have made profit on nearly 2 mil copies. The J-L comes, even more extra profit at minimal cost, yet again. The FE, same story.

From a business point of view, the US market, becomes unimporant. They have already made all the possible money from the yearly cycle. So they dress up the good old PES in nice new clothes and release it as the Int version. Almost no costs. The same code the made them millions.

I forgot to mention the PC version. Same story.

Really sucks for uS. KONAMI are greedy. God bless KYO for making WE but that doesn't change the fact that KONAMI still doesn't care about the customers. Not more than any other company.

Personally, I will still buy the Xbox version only so that I can play online with you guys but I'm really dissapointed with KONAMI. They've become too predictable.

As far as the multiple Jap releases.

I still like the idea of improved versions such as FE but they should be priced at .5 of the original. There should be one regular version for all three regions and then a FE again for all three regions. 2 games total. Not 222.

Unfortuantelly that isn't likely to happen. As stated above.

With that said, I still am looking forward to WE9LWE. I will not buy it though.
