National teams are licenced? Does this mean real kits etc? Because so far, every SS of a national team have not had their proper kits. It will be awesome if they do have proper kits. (Y)

Hey, what happens to the new national teams including in Nippon Challenge ? Can we play other national teams instead of Japan in other mode e.g. Friendly Matches, Custom League, or Konami Cup ? (:/)

I guess that means that 9 out of 10 will be blocked because right now it's already about 8 out of 10.

any word on curl (not from freekicks). i mean, if am able to shoot the ball with the inside, there should be curl?

You heard the man. Everybody who can't be arsed to import the "real stuff" and "must" stick with the PES version (that is 95% of us European players), kindly STFU, show no interest in the upcomming Konami game and stay out of this thread.

saw the videos, the dynamics and physics look much better... the grass/pitch LOOKS TERRIBLY UNCHANGED. That's a disappointment... i mean sure we shouldn't expect much before the next-gen consoles... but Can't they come up with better pitch graphics? U don't need a next-gen to do that...

And onr question: Why do they choose idiots to do the testing.. they guy can't even play. Isn't there any relatively DECENT player out there willing to do the testing?

Sure the game's more realistic... but the grass... well u can't get everything can u...

Maybe it has something to do with the RAM.
I really thought the amount of RAM in Playstaion 2 was
not enough when PS2 was announced...
They should of put more RAM in there. No the developers are
suffering. They can`t use all kinds of colors.
So maybe thats why they cant make the pitch look more real.
PS2 is already suffering. I think you`ll notice this in WE8,
when the slowdowns accure when alot of players play
in the Penatly Area.
(This is just a guess)

Grass texture color has nothing to do with the limitations of the PS2.

But anyways, Play-Asia is already PREPARING orders. I'm guess they'll be shipping them out tomorrow.

KONAMI is sure missing a lot by making their games according to PS2 capabilities THEN coding them to PC format...

I mean the Pitch is not a player's face.. its not the crowds... it's something you SEE ALL THROUGH THE GAME... it's the most important graphic detail in a soccer game... whatever the situation is, you always have the soccer pitch on the monitor while playing the game... they should have paid more attention to it.
Or maybe they want to surprise us with the next-gen graphix... like.. in WE9 we'll focus on gameplay improvements because when preparing for WE10 we will be all busy about the graphics... maybe, although i don't think new grass/pitch required much effort...

But still, the ball physics are amazing. (I saw the Fifa 2006 X-box trailer.. it seemed as if they were playing on Mars... everything was bouncing and floating... pathetic)

textures are usually kept in the memory buffer.

slowdown is caused when the machine can't keep up with too many real time objects on the screen.

they're really two different things.
