didnt Portugal draw against Lichtenstein in qualifying.... ;)

Anythings possible, but I think this will be the first blowout of competition.

4-0 Portugal. All goals by the Pauleta, who probably wont score again in the competition. I dont think Angola will have any decent chances, but Ricardo will probably do his best to give them some good oppurtunities

Pauleta is the Portuguese Borgetti. You could probably switch the two for a couple of games and you'd be none the wiser about the flip-flop.

the difference is that Pauleta scores in a regular basis for both club and NT ;)


still he never was the kind of striker I'd like Portugal to play....we just don't have a better one :(

the problem with Pauleta is that a lot of his goals are against teams like Luxembourg, he has a habit of being nowhere-to-be-found when we really need him.. (...like at Euro 2004) :|

Why can't Pauleta imagine that he is in Azores chasing a ball of cheese down the hill... And instead of braking some old lady's glass in the end, he could probably score a goal...

Let's hope so, he seems to be in decent form and good spirits (Y) CRonaldo's attitude is my main concern today, same with our goalkeeping (as usual)

I think Ronaldo today will be the MOM. Pauleta will score 1 or 2. I'm not over-confident...but our team has quality to ease this one...

I disagree, as someone said back there I think Ronaldo is gonna be the main target for tackles, because they know about his temper and they're gonna try everything to get him out. He is a great player but that temper is something any coach who's in his right mind is going to tell his players to take advantage of.
Anyway... I surely hope I'm wrong and we get trought this smoothly, we can't afford to loose players for the games against Mexico and Iran. I'm watching the game and they're not as easy as I thought....

According to the latest reports Scolari will not take any risks so Deco won't start. It's Figo in the middle and Simão and Ronaldo on the wings, supposly.

it's a better option than just replacing Deco with Hugo Viana, that's for damn sure

EDIT: holy crap, I just heard that the DM's will be Tiago and Petit! Finally a nice move from Scolari (if it ends up being true)
