They have a good squad actually. Karimi is a quality player. Here in Portugal most people think it's gonna be a walk in the park. I have watched 2 games of Iran and they aren't that bad as most people think.

Of course Portugal has a better team. But that's obvious, isn't it ? Point is portuguese players should take this game seriously or it's going to get complicated to win.

Iran has a good squad, but they are very very very inconsistent. Karimi's been injured for a couple of months so his level of play isn't up at the peak :( And, Daei..you've seen him. :evil: Anyhow, yea I agree that Iran isn't as bad as most people think, but the portugese have scolari now, and god knows that he takes his job very seriously, it'll be VERY tough for Iran. I'm so hoping that they are in a playful mood tomorrow and hoping for a great match! :clapwap: :clapwap:

We always intend to get sleepy in this kind of "walk in the park" games, I think the strategy to go for is to start Paulo Ferreira so that he can take out Karimi, Ferreirnha seems to have quite a tendency to injure players. It's a shame that Ali Daei is injured already cause Petit's flesh lust is growing large... Joga Bonito :evil:

Btw, Iran is a much better team than Angola. Angola doesnt let u play, they close u down and jam up their own box. Iran actually attacks, so u guy should have no problems with them since they dont have so many people defending. Itll leave more chances for goals up front for u guys. Thats also why I think, or is it hope?, that Iran can at least draw with Angola, theyll be more lethal in front of goal.

yeah as I said before Angola is what I'd call a pain in the ass team, they basically worry about destroying game.

Iran at least tries to attack on a regular basis throughout a match, I hope they keep that style in order to give us more room to play ball.

It'll be hard to watch Angola scoring a goal in this WC, their attacking ability is too damn poor. Iran should have no problem getting at least a draw :jambo:

Yeah... Hashemian, that's the one :p

Karimi has some nice ball controll... but this Iran side seems to be very unexperienced (judging by the way they conceeded against Mexico)... that's their biggest handicap! But i feel that they'll not make the same mistakes against Portugal...
