You fifa fans make me laugh, you say that the gameplay is great. If thats the case why is it that in most fifa forums all you people ever talk about is making new faces, kits, new stadiums, fancy GUI's , gameplay patch for this, patch for that. You hardly talk football in this forum, if you go to the PES forum you will see that people talk about the best defenders, best strikers, best freekick takers, who can curve the ball the best, best target man like Batistuta, Nistelrooy. Best Dribbler like Ronaldo, best goalkeeper like Buffon. Also Emotional matches, you hardly talk about these things, yet the gameplay is great....
When you are in the PES forum do you ever notice any fifa fans preaching for fifa? no. Now does that tell you something?

I know why.
It is because us FIFA fans enjoy our game and we let PEs fans enjoy theirs and there's nothing wrong with that, so why go into the PES forum and preach FIFA?
On the other hand, like Jules already said, the PES fans have to come in here to try and spoil our fun!
By the way, we say FIFA 2003 is a massive improvement from FIFA 2002, but we know FIFA 2002 wasn't a great game, we know a lot of FIFA haven't been great, so we don't say that FIFA is great full stop. I DON'T know where you've got that from!
FIFA 2003 is the best FIFA and has very good gameplay. But it also have everything else. PES has more realistic gameplay then FIFA, but that's it...well, I guess it has great in-depth modes of play, but we haven't played FIFA 2003's modes now have we!

Its because fifa is not good enough for their fans to preach about its so called brilliance. When you watched the Matrix, didn't you tell all your friends what a brilliant film it was. Some things just aren't good enough to be preached. You notice on the cover on 1SSPE2, you have got different magazines preaching its brialliance, not EA just writing how brilliant their game is with no judgements.
I am not against fifa, actually I think FIFA has improved, but to compare it to PES/ISS/WE is silly.

I really think that this discussion will never end, so I won't be surprised if the conversation here turn into "f*ck this" or "go to hell" and crap like that and this thread get closed.

If you were here for freedom of speech and to add some value providing some good insights on both games then you would stop posting a while ago. Sometimes you need to know when you have to stop talking even if you're winning or losing (at your own point of view).
There are two games out there and there is nothing we can do to make one or another a better game since we are not their manufacturers. The match FIFA vs. PES won't have a winner in these forums. We'll only see the finish of this in the long term. In the meantime, let's play the game we like the most and have fun with our friends.
I know this post won't be the last on this thread. But hey guys be reasonable and stop fighting like children. If you're a PES fan and you think that posting "stop running from the truth" and stuff like that will provide some kind of acknowledgement from people of these forums, then you're crazy because it's a FIFA forum.

Your comments are understandable from the outset, but I think you missed my point, or maybe its my fault that I didn't explain it properly. yes I said comparing both of the games are silly, but in the context of PES is so better than fifa, fifa is not in the same league as PES. Not in context of they just can't be compared, like comparing baseball and hockey as a sport. I can understand why ou thought I contradicted myself, but I am not a dumbass.
sorry about the harsh words, man, i got carried away. anyway, i think i'm going to chill away from these boards for a couple days, cause this is getting too intense. i mean, its supposed to be a freaking game, its supposed to be fun, entertainment, relaxation. and im getting too serious into it...

I'm not takin sides or anything. I have PS2 and i've played WE6, and also i played fifa 2003 demo. But i just want to point out a sentence in your post that i want to answer.
We all know that WE6 has better gameplay than EA fifa games. And the reason FIFA fans talk about kits, new faces, and new stadiums is because fifa games can be edited to make the game look better and make your favorite teams and stadiums, and not like in WE6 it cant be done.
Remember i'm not taking sides, as i play both games and i switch between them when i get tired of the other.

But do they play the same? Well, they play FOOTBALL .
I think that one has to play differently to achieve the feel of the game, but at the end of the day its FOOTBALL .
Now yeah PES plays its football with more depth then FIFA, more for the hardcore gamers, but sadly gameplay is all it offers, oh and few nice modes. FIFA 2003 on the other hand (can't say FIFA, lol) plays its football not AS realistic as PES/2, but in my opinion is more fun...does it end there? NOPE! FIFA 2003 has everything.
At the end of the day, like I said...it is just FOOTBALL .
