Sir_Didier_Drogba's list was pretty great too, though only "old" classic albums.
Modern music just doesnt do it for me the way the old stuff does, there are lots of new(ish) albums I really like but none that can rival the classics. However, there are two really awesome albums out at the moment which I really, really like - Devils and Dust by Bruce Springsteen (classic rocker, new album) and The Futurist by Robert Downey Juniour (believe it or not, this is a brilliant collection of songs, each one totally different). Neither of those are close to the ones on my toplist, but they're the best new albums for atleast a few years IMO, probably since the brilliant Real Gone by Tom Waits (1999 i think).

And I would never pit De-Loused against FTM, I think both albums are playing in two totally different leagues. Then again, most people were expecting a De-Loused "Part 2".
Creative man indeed. But I still say overdone.

Doesn't change the fact that I want to see them though, I just get a little "critique" with things. :ewan:

Yeah, there's lots of songs coming out all the time which are good, but none of them are important, and there's nothing that can get your whole body going like Just Dropped In or Born to be Wild - hell man, sometimes when I'm listening to Mister Tambourine Man I am so totally engrossed that I am completely unaware of anything else that's happening at all.

I can listen to System of a Down in small doses and really enjoy it - only because the song writing is actually highly intelligent - but I like music to relax me and get me thinking, not send my head spinning :p

Guns N Roses - Use Your Ilusion II (Love it far over I, it's an amazing piece of rock art, hard, violent and at the same time classy and bold. Beats Apettite For Destruction, in my opinion. The songs are simply brilliant, takes you to a new level. It was Guns' last big break, the tour is legendary... too bad it ended around that time...)

Favorite songs: You Could Be Mine, Estranged, Knocking On Heaven's Door, Rocket Queen, all amazing
:amika: and dat's all

Rocket Queen is not on Use Your Illusion II, it's on A. for Destruction.

Picked up Interpol - Antics today. Seems a canny album. Not as good as their first but it seems... darker.

You sure you didn't mean to post this in the "...listening to?" thread? :ewan:
Anyways, I have that album too :| ....bands like that aren't usually my cup of tea, but "Evil" is such an amazing song, probably one of my favourites. :(

Wow, great list, man. I'd take out the first 3, though, and replaced Pearl Jam's No Code for Vs.
But there are many missing that should be there. Some of the most amazing albums were written between 88 and 96, which is really amazing. Back in 94 you could be listening to so many great **** that was happening at the same time...
I'll submit my list later on.
