Now that Madrid has Fired Luxemburgo...
give some opinions on where this team has screwed up. No General hating please, lets make this a civil discussion. What would you do if you were in charge with all those assets?

the obvious - not buying every player that is 'hot' and actually try to create a team that works.

Get rid of the old and get young motivated quick players,

Defence: 3 pure defenders and 1 attacking minded
Midfield: 2 good wingers 1 DM and the other one doesn't matter as long as he is a playmaker who can distribute passes
Offence: One big striker, Toni type, Baptista could do the job, he seems to me that he is prepared to work for the team and one who has a free role around him Robinho could do that
Keeper: You already have the best in the world

Too many people making decisions.Get a manager and leave him alone to do the job.Everyone else stay out of it.The players work hard enough.The problem is not with the players,they just lack direction and when circumstances behind the scenes are falling apart,this will always affect the team performance.A manager will never be able to please everyone so he needs to be able to please himself.Total control over team matters.Also look for a manager from outside of Spain perhaps.

IMO its the lack of desire to win, the only player in the team that seems that has a problem with losing is beckham. he is the one that tries harder. They need to get players that are hunger for more, get rid of ronaldo, he doesn't move at all, he just wait for the ball to get to him and then try to do sumthing.

get rid of:
1. Woodgate
2. Ronaldo
3. Guti

And get
1. De Rossi/Gerrard
2. Torres/Adriano/Toni - I prefer Torres cuz he is young
3. Diego/Riquelme

Way too much brazilians in the Brazilian NT, too...still they won 5 times ...Ok, I'm just being a pain, but that doesn't make sense, really. I don't think that's the real problem there.
