The last truly good FIFA.

I agree. That was the best Fifa. Was that also the one that had the classic teams where you could play as Real Madrid 1957, Milan 80's, Liverpool 70's, etc. in black and white? That was sooo cool! They should bring that back.

I cant remember, i just remember playing constantly in the indoor arena with Andy Gray blurting out:

"I'll have to get my calculator out Martin, i've lost count"

Oh my, the indoor arena. That was fun! What ever happened to EA??? Play the 2007 360 version???????? I mean the 360 is so powerful and they didn't put sh!t into the game...the options, modes are akin to a NES version!

I havent to be fair, played the one last year... cant remember which one. Wasn't bad but it completely stole from Pro Evo.

Oh and it wasnt Andy Gray, it was John Motson. Look at me trying to be all "modern".

well, by todays stadards the gameplay if FIFA98 is actually pretty crappy, but at the time it was amazing.. I still remember how dissapointed I was when FIFA 99 came out though, I thought EA had achieved near perfection with 98, so 99 should have been God-like....but they managed to start the downhill slide at that point instead

NONONO, I mentioned it. It's on my list. What a game! Can't wait for the new one with Portal, and team....? what was it? forgot. But basically 3 games in one that Valve is doing for the 360. Portal is going to be like an online cell shaded game that looks great and very original.

Super Mario Bros...played this on the NES

Winning Eleven Series..best footy experience you can get on a computer/video game

Championship Manager Series..provided loads of room for imagination, proved graphics weren't important as long as game play is good. Still remeber the 91/92 version.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert...first strategy game I played, and one of the few I actually like.

GTA Series....revolutionary gameplay and concept.

Street Fighter II

Ace Combat Series (Playstation2)...good storyline.

Operation Flashpoint--Toon Army, I thought no one knew about this great game.

Sim Tower... simply because I spent a lot time playing this as a kid.

International Superstar Soccer Deluxe -- Super Famicom/SNES Version : can still remember the voiceover at the start screen: International..Super. .star..Soccer....DELUXE!<crowd noise>. And having not played this game for several years, I still remember the music during training, the dog as the referee, the circle around the player..

Great game. Besides story, graphics and gameplay are brilliant.

Fifa 98 RTWC- Funnest football game. Not talking about most realistic but fun. C'mon Fifa...perhaps it's time to look back to the past for inspiration.

I never had the opportunity to play ISS unfortunatly... I was stuck playing crap games like FIFA 96 and Actua Soccer back in those days because that was all that was available around here. Always makes me feel cheated or something thinking back of those eary days of footy gaming..

Any of you guys remember Microsoft International Soccer? ...terrible game, it had quite possibly the most scripted gameplay ever combined with awkward controls.

I loved ISSD (loved when the "DELUXE!!!!" would pop up.) . Great game.

And I freaken love Star Fox games (64 blew me away and still does. I've only seen Adventures at a buddy's house but since I dont own a Cube I cant play it.

But as soon as they have enough Wii's for the public. (should only take 7-8 months IMO) , then Ill be able to buy it.

PS- That was sarcasm over the unbelievable time it's taking Nintendo to produce the Wii's and my frustration which is causing me to potentially blow away every worthless Best Buy employee in Toronto with my shot gun. :) (((((Yes I am incredibly pissed off about what infamously happened last friday))))

<If you didnt hear. Families that have been wating for 3 weeks for the last Wii shipment were ****ed as the Best Buys employees told their family members and friends not only when the shipment was coming <Friday 8th> but THE EXACT TIME <<<<there were 250 people <counted> at Best Buys at THREE IN THE MORNING as the truck arrived to ship the damn things >>>

When I showed up at 7 AM (which was the time they told us to go) with about 50 other people.....what resulted was one of the biggest explosions of anger I ever saw from this Scottish guy beside us :funny: (he was right)

- The next day I went to best buys to get something else (need a region 0 DVD player) and the actual Nintendo Canada Representative was in the store. Shortly all these people got around him for an explanation of what happened and he just kept saying: "We are so sorry. We didnt expect so much demand for the Wii. We just dont have them made at the moment"
And he actually told me that so many people complained about what happened Friday (I left right away), that they actually fired 1-2 workers <<<<<I dont know how they could have caught them.......since it's impossible to know who it was who told their friends to come at 3 AM, even though they bought it at 9>>>>>

But I guess having 250 ppl at 3AM was just like being caught over a dead body with the gun in your hand. I mean it was so obvious without anyone even asking any questions.

funny part was that many people kept saying how the employees were telling them NOT to come on the 8th cause it "100% wouldnt come". Wow.

ah.......Im done ranting. enjoy the holidays guys. :)
