But I love all of those who built rock n roll history, from bluesmen like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf and BB King, to Cream, The Doors, Free, The Who and Clapton, classic rock legends like Pink Floyd, Queen, Rolling Stones, U2, "hair metal" of Motley Crue, Skid Row, Warrant, Whitesnake and Def Leppard, grunge (my childhood) of Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Alice In Chains , Silverchair and obviously Nirvana, punk bands like the Pistols, Iggy and Dead Kennedys, trashers like Pantera and Metallica, progressive rock of Genesis, Rush and Dream Theater, mainstream rock of REM, Live and Coldplay, 80's classics Pixies, Patty Smith and Velvet Underground, heavy metal classics like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Black Sabath, power metal of Edguy (and Avantasia), Stratovarius, Hammerfall and Nightwish, darker stuff of Crimson Glory, Children Of Bodom and Meshuggah... and recent quality bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, SOAD, Mastodon, The Hives and The Darkness

I'm surprised no one's mentioned King Crimson. One of the best prog. rock bands ever in my opinion.

They are amazing in concert mate ive seen them 37 times.... Neil Peart is the best drummer in the world...
they will be back in the studio this fall to make another album... witha tour to follow...

And I do not hate them I hate what they have become, just like U2 and countless bands that went down the drain a decade ago, but kept their moronic fanbase that can't realise they are sh*t now.
And no I can't respect people who say they love rock and then go and make a list with the 10 sh*ttiest bands around, that are actually the only ones they can remember. That's like saying you like movies and then go and say that your favourites are TripleX, TripleX2 and Fast and the Furious and Fast and the Furious 2. It just shows your retardedness.
In fact not only I can't respect them but I also happen to think that they're wastes of precious oxygen and earth resources... sorry.

How can you sit there and say something like that? How in the world can you know how people here started listening to their favourite bands?
And because bands get their songs played on the radio and TV, that means it's crap? I think it's the other way around, there's a reason these bands, e.g. Red Hot Chili Peppers, makes millions of dollars on their music, because it's ******* good.
BTW, I've heard Nirvana tons of times on the radio and MTV, guess they're crap to...no wait, you have them on your top 10...

i only saw them live once, when they came here in brazil for the 1st time. i went to the concert in são paulo. the biggest crowd in rush's history if i am not wrong.
The brazil shows were amazing from what i saw on Rush In Rio.. whis i could have been there...
Being I lived in New York for 26 years it was very easy to se them so many times. Now that Im in Tampa I have to take a plane to most of the shows.
