Well the X box and Wii are both great (my buddy has the box and I finally got my wii)

I loved both, but im sticking to the wii (its just: fun...i love it + Zelda is an absolutely masterful game <after the start where you do a few favours, the game is a masterpiece>.

haha that's hilarious.. wow, did they think nobody would notice?

Q for you 360 Owners: Anybody have Fight Night 3 and a) is it any good? b) can u create a boxer, and if so, how good are the customizing options for that?

thx

(damn, we should really just start an offical Xbox 360 thread for this stuff)

I'm selling my 360. I honestly am bored with it. I'm too busy playing Final Fantasy XII and NBA2K7 on the PS3. I should be finished with FFXII right before the great games start pouring in at the end of the month. Plus, Blu-ray is really starting to take off. 80% of the movies on my Netflix list are Blu-ray.

The 360 is a great game system, but the PS3 fits my needs better and has the games I know and love.

Yes, FN:R3 is an awesome game. Extremely realistic and beautiful visuals. And yes, you can create a boxer. You ever played WWE SmackDown? If you have, the creation is fairly similar to this, allowing you to manipulate parts of the face with the joysticks to your liking.

cool..

No I haven't played a wrestling game since like 1999 actually, I always thought they were fun though.

So the gameplay itself is pretty realistic? One thing that kinda turned me off of some older boxing/fighting games is that they just ended up being button mashers because the gameplay was so fast and either lacked depth or was overly complicated. FN:R3 sounds really interesting to me though from what I've been reading..

This is definitely not a button masher...because there are no buttons involved basically! You use the joysticks to throw your punches (which is fantasic, total control). Flick the stick towards your opponent and your boxer unleashes a jab, pull back on the stick and push forward will give you a more powerful punch. Moving your stick in different ways will give you different punches etc...

You should definitely check it out. (Y)

I'm wondering how long FF fans completed the FF12 though. This game is such a freaking long game considering if u want to complete the 12 Espers, the mark hunting, & the story progress. I finished the game in 144 hrs. :$

Espers is totally useless in the FF game. I rarely use them. (:/) only completed in 6 of them in total of 12 Espers. (N)

Mark hunting is a special case due to it can lead to a rare weapon. very hard to complete them all in 100%, a total of 45. I only completed 25 out of 45.

For Blu Ray? YEs! For games? PS3 doesn't deliver 10% of what 360 has to offer. You are a rare exception! If you only want to play 2-3 decent games and don't care then PS3 is fine. I'm glad you enjoy the PS3...and I hope you are getting your moneys worth too.

It normally takes 2-3 months before I've done everything I wanted to do in a FF game. So far I'm about 25 hours in at the Miriam Shrine(or whatever they call it). I'm really liking the new battle mechanics and the story is top notch.

Listen man, I know you're a diehard X-box fan and I respect that. It's a damn good system. For me, Playstation has alway had the best library of games and from what the release calender shows, it's not going to change anytime soon. It all comes down to what games you want to play.

Final Fantasy or Fable
Gran Turismo or Forza
Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell(which isn't exclusive)
God of War or ...I don't know what Xbox has in this category.
Tekken or DOA

It also helps that the PS3 is more powerfull, has a bigger hdd, and supports Blu-ray out of the box. You pay for what you get and for me, the PS3 is a better overall value and ready for the future.

I agree with most of it except for the games part. Next 2 years are heavily in favor of 360...unless you like certain games like the ones you do. Just my opinion of course. Personallly, mature games like Alan Wake, Mass Effect, Bioshock and others keep me very interested in 360. Either way, each system is good. PS3 is geared for the future but not there yet. I look forward to getting one in 3-4 years when it has alot of good games and when it comes down in price. IMO, I don't want to spend $600 to watch movies and play RFOM....IMO Hala Madrid

I would have kept my 360 if I could afford to buy games for two systems, but having a kid makes it difficult. The bottom line is that I'm more familiar with the Playstation games. I couldn't imagine not being able to play the next MGS or FF. Plus all these other franchises like Tekken, Devil May Cry, Gran Turismo, etc. I'm also really addicted to Blu-ray movies now, so it made the choice easier.

BTW Final Fantasy XII is helping me forget about our teams poor performances. We've been awful as of late.

Nuno,

could the PS3 sixaxis controller be used for PSone/PS2 games ?

Or do I have to reuse the dualshock PS2 controller again to play their backward compatibility on PS3 ?

Thank's !

Yea, we're expecting in June so I can imagine! MGS? I could never play those games because of all the cut scenes. Snake Eater had 5 -10 minutes of cut scenes in the first 10 min. of the game. Even fastforwarding the cutscenes took me like 3 minutes!!! I turned it off and never played it again. It's for more patient players I suppose. I love my 360 but I do admit that the Blu Ray is looking pretty sweet. Nuno, Capello must go in June! We have to bring in someone more modern and someone who can maximize our true potential and not be too conservative!

Yeah, the Sixaxis works with all games. Old or new. Now is a good time to get one, since the great games are finally being released. It starts this week with Virtua Fighter 5 and Flow(PS store downloadable game). Then in March we'll be bombarded with games. Europe may have had to wait, but at least they'll have no shortage of games.

Dude, it's like night and day. Even in 1080i the image is extremely clear and even 3D on some movies. The sound is extremely impressive. However, not all movies are given the same amount of love by their respective studio. Luckily the AVS forums has a list of the best quality movies. It's constantly being updated and there is always a new thread(to discuss quality) when a new movies is released. Below is the link. They also have a screenshot thread in that same forum. Keep in mind that they are from someone's camera, and that they look far better in person.

ah, thanks man..

I'm actually planning on upgrading/re-doing my whole home theater set-up over the next few months, that looks like a good forum for info. The PS3's blu-ray capability is kinda sparking my interest, just seems like a much better buy then getting a stand alone player. Let me know if you know of any other home theater related links. thanks again.

So I played on a Wii for the first time yesterday. Can't say I was thrilled with it. I'm too old for that sort of crap, just too kiddish for me to get excited at all about it (even if it is a shooting game, the way the controllers are just turn me off and to think they are supposed to be the main attraction). I can't believe I wanted to buy one of these things at one point :nape:
