There is a reason why trebles or even doubles (domestic league and CL) are not won by a team almost every year. And its not because they don't have quality.WilliamFAlmeida;2318810 said:That should never be an excuse for losing a big tournament. If youre fighting on all three fronts and you cant make it in the biggest competition of all then you have to sacrifice the small ones. If you dont then you cant blame anyone but yourselves.
Also I want to nomiate Kaka for WPOTY right now....

I'm trying to find something positive about today

The punishment was a ******* slap on the wrist.
Milan might now win the Champions League after a season of cheating and match fixing. Not that I'm saying they will, but if they wanted to, what's to stop them from match fixing again? They'll look back and say we won the Champions League the next season they won't care if we fix the game.
big al;2318862 said:i think UTD cant use playing 3 cups as an excuse, barca made the double last season, and they had many injurys truw out the season, milan are still playing the calcio and they are fighting to qualify to the next CL, otherwise i have to agree with the guy that mention you guys needed to set prioritys if it was the case.

Help?;2318872 said:10 games in 33 days, with a second string defense and conceeding the first goal in 6 of them has nothing to do with fatigue? In previous two games, the forwards had to really work hard to pull themselves out of the hole the defense dug out for them, taking away a lot of energy. Milan at the same time used only like 3-4 players that played against United during the past two weekends. Resting pretty much all of its key players. The position Milan is fighting for in Serie A is so much less demanding than the one United is fighting for in EPL.
Barcelona didn't have their whole backline injuried during the last 6 weeks of the season, infact they had almost every first team player fit during that period and they didn't have to win 29 out of 38 games to win the league.
I agree that Milan played better and deserved to be in the final, but you just can't discard the fact that fatigue was one of the major factors why United played so badly at the San Siro.
big al;2318883 said:like i mention before if it was the case then manchester should have set prioritys, its no surprise to me people are saying now the league was the priority all along; anyways try having points shaved off and still fighting for a position for the next CL and tell me if its not as demanding, you saying milan won deservedly and then saying the major reason was cause of manchester fatigue its like really saying it was undeservedly, i dont buy that really, tought milan lost the first leg we could really see what milan was all about and what they were trying to do i mean they played great even tought they lost; , its no coincidence gattuso played the exact same great first leg as the second one, plus its funny alot of poeple didnt mention this fatigue factor in he first leg and even before the second one. i just think milan erase manchester tacticly speaking, i mean were was ronaldo today just as an example; i might also think another big factor was the rain, it seem to really affected manchester.
anyways i would like you to see this highlights and hear what the commentators are saying; its pretty interesting stuff.
