They have a very inexperienced team to carry. There's some talent, but nothing spectacular, and because of the financial problems we've been in for at least 6 years now there's no experienced players left.

Rajkovic is doing well, as expected; Matic is already starting, nothing special but will improve soon enough; Delac needs to get a basic level of communication going with the defense before he'll be selected over Eloy Room (who is just an alright keeper for the Dutch league).

This weekend psv awaits and we lost the last two matches against ADO and AZ :nape:
We are dropping points fast and need a win against psv!
Suarez can't score at the moment but he has an license to hit the crossbar (11 times in the last few games), de Jong can't find his form back, El Hamdaoui was invisible in the last 2 games and our defense sucks balls atm.
And then there is a matter called the board of directors....THEY SUCK :taz:

I agree with JC that former Ajaxplayers should occupy the membercouncil so that changes can come for the club because right now we have serious issues and the team is not motivated.
Last season (2nd half) we played outstanding football and won every game so what happened..? They need to clean up their act fast because after this weekend Real Madrid will be our next opponent for the CL...
It's sad to see my team like this but I also know that we are AJAX and we will bounce back but hopefully that will be soon.

Yeah I'm having a deja vu here. The winter falls in and we start dropping out of the title race again. PSV can seal our faith on Sunday.

As far as the Cruijff thing goes, I think he seriously needs to shut the f*ck up. As great as my respect is towards him, I think he either needs to come in right now, move from Barcelona to Amsterdam, get a clear cut day job function within the Ajax board and do something about the problem or he should just take care of his own business and leave Ajax alone. He's not doing Ajax any favour right now with his constant public criticizing of just about every aspect of the club, he's bringing only more chaos and confusion into the club. Either come up with a solution and do something about it or shut the f*ck up.

I agree with you on the JC matter but something needs to be done, hopefully things will turn around for us on sunday IF we can beat psv but I doubt it :S

BREAKING NEWS JOL LEAVES AJAX!

Well that's the end of Martin Jol at Ajax, he handed in his resignation and Frank de Boer is the new interim coach.
He will coach the team as of now starting against AC Milan tomorrow in Italy..
It's too bad that Jol left imo but he had no choice really, the pressure was too high for him to continue in Amsterdam I wish him all the best thanks for everything Martin! (Y)
I'm certain he will return to the Premier League, Newcastle is in need of a new coach ;)

It was sort of coming, wasn't it? It's a shame Jol left, 'cause last season he and his Ajax team for the first in many years made me proud of being an Ajax fan. But it was inevitable if in more than a month you're only able to take a win over VVV and Veendam.

Frank de Boer takes over, atleast until January, maybe longer. Don't know if he's the right choice to become the Ajax coach permanently. People say he's a good coach, but he doesn't really have any experience as a first team coach. I'd say we try to get Rijkaard and have De Boer support him as assistant-coach. Than after a few years De Boer can takeover from Rijkaard, with more experience in his bag.

I gave him his last warning so it's his choice to pursue this or not..

Ok back on topic, there is a chance that Frank de Boer stays on as coach for this season, today he told the media that he wants to stay coach and not only for 3 games untill the winterbreak..
But Rijkaard is a serious possibility yes he's been mentioned more than once yesterday so you never know.
I have confidence in Frank de Boer as an Ajaxman to help Ajax to be the club they once were but if Rijkaard should do it I wouldn't mind ;)
