How many people that can afford to buy a car can afford to buy a Lamborghini? And who suggested that enjoying editing a game makes you any better or worse a gamer than anybody else? By your reasoning, the fact that I make boots for Fifa (since Fifa 2003) makes my hobby that so many people have found enjoyment in, redundant - since the game already ships with branded boots. No one would say that an Xbox 360 is crap, but that does not make the needs and requirements of PC users any less important. The fact is that EA's Fifa franchise was built on the PC and while it has grown to the dizzying heights of Xbox 360 and PS3, EA should remember where they are coming from. Console users enjoying Fifa does not in any way diminish PC users enjoyment of Fifa and vice versa. In fact, since I don't own a console, I don't even visit the console threads. The way I see it, you do your thing and I do mine. Games are about fun after all, right? No need for heated arguments and name calling.

Consoles are bad for fps and strategy which exclude 2 massive genres, how the hell can you aim with a stick?
I can build a great spec that could run easily all 'next gen' games for the price of the ps3.

How is it that people like you live, if i was your father i'd flush you into the toilette you when you first spoke. These are the ones that start the wars people, these are the ones that would kill you for a dime. I spit on you! - this is just perfect for this occasion
OrgulloVikingo;2394432 said:Good for you. Enjoy PC's. Why all the complaining then? I'd never get a PC since I don't want to spend time installing virus protectin and avoiding crashes, etc. And fact is that Microsoft Operating Systems are horrid. They are in cahoots with the whole IT industry. If it breaks down = more money for everyone, from tech specialists to antivirus providers, etc. Yes, that's the way it works. Same with copy machines.

Regarding you sig, I have no idea
You certainly aren't comparing like for like at those price points. I can't speak for US prices, but here in the UK a premium Xbox 360 system seems to be around the £250 mark (buying online) and for £400 I can buy (from a reputable online supplier - the same one from whom I purchased the 18 month old machine on which I'm typing this) a dual core Intel system with 1GB RAM, 250GB HD and dual layer DVD. Now that system almost certainly does not have as much grunt as the 360, both the processor and graphics capabilities will be at least half as powerful, but it includes a 19" widescreen monitor, gigabit networking, a multi-format memory card reader, twice as much RAM as the Xbox (I believe the default is 512M, more than ten times as much disk space, and the DVD drive is a writer not read-only. Add to that the fact that the PC will be upgradable in the future, especially on the graphics front, and I really don't see that there is that huge a price differential (especially when you take into account a screen to plug the console into - not all of us have full-time access to a suitable TV).OrgulloVikingo;2394429 said:$400 compared to lets say, $1,500 average?
OrgulloVikingo;2394504 said:Perhaps I need counseling if PC's were the only machines out there and I was forced to use them. Most of the Departments at my old job used PC's. The IT guys would run around like crazy fixing all types of problems. They worked overtime like crazy cleaning drives, installing virus protection, spyware utilities, etc. Our department (graphics) rarely got visits. Only to install new versions of Indesign, etc. aside from that we would do all types of things, download all tps of stuff from the internet without a worry in the world and I do not remember one instance of a major malfunction on our systems. But, to each, his own I guess. One thing I will say is great about PC gaming is the customization aspect. Installing adboards, flags, pitches, etc. that's cool....if you know what you are doing.
