What the hell was that by Walcott? He just has to put that one in, and even if not, at least pass it properly for the tap in. Talk about lack of confidence, I hope he buries the next shot he has.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm loving Arsenal today, despite only one goal up. This is one of the reasons I like Arsenal, this kind of play is to me more exciting than even Barça's; of course it's Wigan and Barça do their thing against everybody, but when Arsenal get going they are just beautiful to watch.

Why do these keeper always become Lev Yashin Version II, whenever they face us (Green, Friedel and Al-Habsi today)? Looking good today but we really should kill these guys by at least two more goals.

Beckham's love for Arsenal is far too obvious now, he's completely out of the closet!

van Persie cannot get broken. 6 goals, 5 games, 8 days.

It's excatly what he needs for finally getting healthy and well again and it's excatly what Arsenal needs to be a threat for the title.

If the penalty and that missed chance by Walcott had gone in it'd had been even more fair. Wigan did nothing today, great display by Arsenal even if half of the second time wasn't as good.

You'd better behave yourself this time!
van puss if fit..wld obviously be one of the top scorers every season..
the only problem is...he cant remain fit..maybe falls over himself in the washroom

Al-Habsi is actually pretty good. I think he had a great game against Spurs near the beginning of the year too.

And Friedel is a legend, how dare you.

Guys this season Man Utd is too strong for Arsenal, with Nani+Rooney+Berbatov they can smash anybody, the Gunners are really good but dont think they can win the EPL, great van Persie yesterday with 3 goals!!!!!!:smilex:

Honestly I think our first choice attack can match theirs, plus we aren't doing so bad in the keeper department right now. Polish keepers ftw!

Van Persie is great, Walcott too, but honestly the Gunners have not the attack of the Red Devils, I heard that Henry was back to Arsenal but didnt read nothing since one week, it was fake? Strange......so seems Bendtner is going away, shame I like him......lets go Gunners!:smilex:

It's just a shame that they'll probably get knocked out by Barça, though. Come to think of it Arsenal are one of the unluckiest teams out there, haha.

Henry is training with Arsenal before the MLS season starts.

I think Arsenal's attack is much better and they are clearly the main challengers to United this season... but.... I just don't know. That defense just isn't great and there seems to be a weak, almost uncompetitive spirit at Arse. Man U seems to battle every game all game, but if Arsenal gets bogged down in a tough game their players just don't seem to do as much as the Man U guys do.

Paolo, Bendtner has been linked to Bayern in the last month or two, but to be honest I don't want him. He's a good player, but his ego is too big for his ability. He should be a bench player at a top club (or a superstar at a mid-table club), but he thinks he should be the starting center forward at Barcelona.

I know what you mean Shifty, and actually imo I think it has something to do with Wenger's ability to motivate the team. I'm not so sure he's one of the best in the world at that, which is a shame because he is clearly one of the best in pretty much everything else. Plus, there are one or two players that seem to give up sometimes, appearing to be content with never winning anything. That's why it's lovely to see players like Wilshere and Song in the middle of the field, and Nasri this season is also pumped up, and hopefully van Persie can pick up pace and really go on a scoring streak.

More than not being able to motivate the players, I think Wenger's greatest shortcoming is his tactics, especially against the big teams. I'm talking about how too often we play right in to the big team's hands. We'll have a lot of possession, but not create much and then the other team will hit us pretty easily on the counter attack. Also, if we do get a lead in an important game, Wenger is not at all the best manager at creating a defense which can just keep it very tight for like twenty minutes. Our defense is often very easily exposed, even though if you look at our defenders individually, they're mostly top class.

Our attack though looks very strong this year, and Wilshire and Song are very nice to have in the heart of the team because I think they're players with winning mentalities.
