John Carew; 25 year-old Norwegian international. He's a tall, strong foward. Had a break-out season with Rosenborg BK a couple of years ago which prompted a Summer switch to Valencia, tallied a couple of goals for them -- became surplus to requirments after a couple of years and was eventually loaned out to AS Roma (scored a couple of goals for them, too). Now he's in Turkey.

He's a good player, but has an extremely bad attitude. He's a gem in the rough.

Juventus ace Trezeguet wants Arsenal move

Juventus ace David Trezeguet says he wants a move to Arsenal.

The Frenchman wants to team up with good friend and former AS Monaco teammate Thierry Henry at the Gunners.

Trezeguet told The Sun: "It would be nice for me to play in England.

"Why not? I have a perfect understanding with Henry.

"Sometimes when we talk, we would love to play together in club football. I'm sure it will happen one day."

Arsenal boss Wenger has mega £40M to spend

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will have a massive transfer kitty for the summer market.

The Evening Standard says Wenger's kitty this summer will be around £40m and the club will make more available as they move into the new stadium next year.

Gunners director Danny Fiszman insists the lack of spending in the last two years wasn't down to the club's new Emirates stadium.

He said: "We never were in a position where we have not done that much in the transfer market because all the money was going towards the move.

"On the contrary, we have had a lot of successful property deals around the stadium project which have helped the club's balance sheet. We had a budget available to the manager, but he is not a spender for the sake of it."

Fiszman added: "Our ambition was to build the best club stadium and have the finest team playing in it. We think we can deliver that."

Barbosa agent set for Inter Milan, Arsenal talks

The agent of Banfield's young goalkeeper Mariano Damian Barbosa is in Europe for talks with interested clubs.

Marcelo Open is currently in Milan speaking with Inter Milan chiefs about the 20 year-old, who is regarded as one of the best keeper prospects to emerge in Argentina for some years.

Inter are keen to sign Barbosa, but face competition from Arsenal, with Open to travel to London before the weekend for discussions with the Gunners about his young client.

Yea it looks as if we need a strong CF.... Reyes looks to lightweight to be playin that role..... He plays best on the left IMO...... I dont know about trezeguet though.... he's the type of player to do nothing all game and than in like the 88 min score a simple header..... i dont know it could work......

ON a side note Aliadiere looks like he's been working out????? or is he fatter?????? he def looks a lot more bulkier than last year....... we should give him a start....

hurhurhur.....yeah, that game in 2001 still hurts...hmm, and I think he scored against us again two years later in the group stages twice.

I know it sounds like we'd be raiding Juve, but isnt Tudor linked to teams already? I dont think hes staying there no matter what. And Trez wants to play next to Titi. And Hoyte and Eboue have Lauren covered, we dont really need him hes been kind of excess baggage. Toure is a very good defender, but not in a central/important role :shades: he also likes to get forward
