all of this and still no Viera or Sol. I think Arsenal will be able to go unbeaten until they play Chelsea or Man. Utd.(Theres also the chance the Liverpool or totenham could get upsets.)

i highly doubt tottenham getting an upset, very small outside chance liverpool can do it... it'll either be chelsea (likely) or manure (unlikelty tho)

Imagine 2 seasons UNDEFEATED????????  :fluffy:

I know its VERY unlikely but goddamn just imagine if we went 2 seasons unbeaten. I would take a flight to England and take 3 victory laps around London.

Wenger: 'Breaking the record is something amazing'

ARSENAL 3, BLACKBURN 0

Match Report

ARSÈNE WENGER

...on breaking Forest's unbeaten record
I just think its something amazing, if you look at the number of goals we scored in these 43 games, and the number of victories we had, and the quality of our football, in modern football it is something amazing. This record shows, in my opinion, that we have become better season to season.

...on the performance
We are happy tonight of course because we have shown a remarkable consistency. In my opinion it was difficult for 30 minutes. Blackburn chased every ball for 30 minutes, and I must say we were a little bit lucky because they had a few chances. In the second half it was all us. We scored some great goals with some great movement. The goals can come from everywhere.

...on the form of Fabregas
I’m really delighted for the boy because he's played three games now. Sometimes you can say that a boy of that age can have one good game, or two, but after the third he has a dip, but no - he’s consistent. His workrate is outstanding, his commitment is outstanding and of course his football is a joy to watch.

...on the return of Patrick Vieira
Patrick has worked very hard and is very, very close now, like Edu, they are both very close. It looks a little bit early on Saturday, but after the [international] break yes.

LOL Henry's biggest threat for the golden boot is none other than his own teammate REY REYES. AW man I hope they can keep this up in all competetions this season.

Wenger on the Flamini Row

Arsène Wenger insists that Arsenal did not act improperly in the signing of French midfielder Mathieu Flamini.

Former club Marseille claim he should have signed his first professional contact with the club instead of being allowed to move to the Premiership champions.

L'OM's anger intensified as Flamini appeared in Arsenal's opening two games of the season as a substitute.

The club's chairman Christophe Bouchet has threatened to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and had withheld Flamini's registration.

But Wenger is adamant The Gunners did nothing wrong, insisting it was Flamini's decision to quit Marseille for Highbury.

"His uncle told me his priority was to remain at Marseille so I didn't intervene at all," Wenger told L'Equipe.

"At Arsenal, no-one interfered in the talks between Flamini and l'OM.

i hope this gets sorted soon

"I didn't make any proposition. I just told him: 'If it isn't settled with Marseille, call me'. That is what happened.

"The French rule is different to the international one and, according to this one, Flamini was a free agent."

Vieira bust-up back on

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2004391945,00.html

By ERIC BEAUCHAMP

ARSENAL and Real Madrid are heading for another bust-up over the Patrick Vieira fiasco.

Real president Florentino Perez is furious the Gunners implied illegal approaches were made to the Frenchman.

Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein threatened to make an official complaint to FIFA — but has taken no action so far.

And Dein is heading for an angry showdown with Perez next Thursday at a G14 meeting in Porto.

Perez said: “We did not do anything that we are not able to justify.”

But Dein insists: “There were dark forces at work.

“It’s against FIFA rules to destabilise a player under contract.

“These rules are there to be respected and we intend to take some kind of action.”

Arsenal made similar accusations two years ago when Madrid failed to lure Vieira. But they never followed up the matter with FIFA.

And FIFA insist they will not probe Madrid’s conduct — unless Dein backs up his fighting talk with action.

A FIFA spokesman said: “We have received no formal complaint from Arsenal over Real Madrid’s interest in Patrick Vieira.

“FIFA is not investigating the way Real Madrid conducts its transfer dealings. We only become involved when formally requested to do so.”

From the sun but anyway it will be interesting to see wat happens

Arsenal make €4m bid for Valencia's Angulo.

http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,525961,00.html Marca-(spanish)

They made a formal offer on Wednesday. Valencia plays friday the European Super Cup final against Porto in Mónaco. If he plays a single minute in that match he wouldn't be eligible for the Champions with another team.

Looks like Valencia is happy with the offer since he is in the final year of contract and they didn't reach an agreement with the player for a renewal.

He's an attacking midfielder/forward. I dont know why Arsenal needs another one
