I think that if Portugal would have won Euro2004 then Deco would without a doubt been the man to win it.

You can't really say that Henry deserves it because of his spectacular play. Shevchenko also led his team to win it. These are pretty much list in order of probability.

Deco
Henry
Ronaldinho
Morientes
Shevchenko
Charisteas
Cristiano Ronaldo

why would you add Charisteas, he doesn't even start for Bremen

I personally think one of the Greeks deserves it but I haven't seen a single one of the games with them. Who was the best performer? He will surely get a lot of votes.

Cristiano Ronaldo ! ?

Now that is probably the funniest thing I've heard all day.

What the hell are Cristiano Ronaldo and Charisteas doing at the list? Where's Nedved and Kaká then?

I voted for Ronaldinho
but C. Ronaldo doesn't deserve to be there
Kaka or Nedved are much better and Makkay
is better than Charistea

Milan Baros was EURO top scorere so he desreve a
place

Maybe Kaka deserved to be there. Charisteas did score in the final. Players have won it before for a single match. When Yashin won it, it was because of his performers in World-Best against England I think. He only played for one half but was a wall.

That list is crap but out of all of them I voted for Morientes just because I hate Henry and because Deco was awful at the EURO's.

Last year was obviously Nedved. This year is tough. As much as i disagree i think Deco will win, cause of Porto/Portugal reaching finals.

Based on form of last season domestically, Totti, Henry and Ronaldinho were the best in their leagues. Since neither had an impact internationally (Euro/Copa), i dont think either will win.

Deco will win.:(

Ronaldinho played espetacular last year... but Barca didn't won any title.

Charisteas and C. Ronaldo what a joke

Morientes for what he did been on loan, Henry for been the top scorer and leading his team to an undefeated season and Sheva for been the leading scoring of a league of "defensive" teams and leading Milan to win the scudetto. And Deco (for the same reason Mikey said)

One of these players should won it.

Itll be Deco, cause of lack of competition.

I know he wont win, or even be considered, but id rather have Carvalho win if it has to be a Porto/Portugal player.

I don't see whats wrong with Cristiano Ronaldo being on Eugene's list. Since January 2004(Ballon d'Or is awarded to the winner based on performances in 2004, and not 2003) he has been one of the most consistent performers at Club level and on the International stage.

Ronaldinho or "Onreeeeeeeeee"(In the words of Martin Tyler who has an orgasm everytime Onreeeee scores) should win it, but being inconsistent at International level may just stop Onreeeee from taking the award.
