Brazil vs. New Zealand [R]

Kibe Kru

Starting XI
Half time, 1-0 Brazil

42' Ronaldo, after great work by Kaka down the right wing. At 44' Ronaldo missed when one on one with the keeper by shooting at the post.

So far, nothing really interesting. Brazil only threaten when attacking down the flanks, especially with Kaka and Cafu down the right. New Zealand shows nothing besides a tight marking, but that's expected. They did have some corners though.

On a side note, New Zealand can't defend corners to save their lives.

EDIT:
51' 2-0 Adriano. Nice shot from outside. Before that, Lucio saved brazilians' arse after deflecting a shot with Dida out of the goal.

85' 3-0 Kaka. Great run, cool finish, deserved for overall performance. Cicinho and Robinho destroying New Zealand's left side.

90 +2' 4-0 Juninho. Good goal, with GK rushing out.

Full time.

As we know, Brazil can score goals. As we know, New Zealand was at a much lower level. We're talking about a team that finished third in the oceanian qualifiers, in a group that only had Australia.

Off to Germany now, after two very important friendlies that taught us what we already knew... Now let's hope someone can really pressure our defense. The only time New Zealand attacked, they almost scored.

The players from the bench have played much better than the starters during this whole preparation period.
Ronaldinho, specifically, has been really bad. He never played at the NT as he plays at Barcelona.

Ronaldinho is playing on first gear, that's pretty damn obvious. He's had a tough season on Barça.

I think we should wait for the first WC game before we start judging players.

It's obvious that Brazil is unbeatable like this, each and every player is a star and I don't think that someone can stop them to get the title. Unless Holland gets through to the Final games, maybe we can do it this time.
For me Brazil is the nr 1 for the title.

No, usually a left back faces a right-sided player from the opposite team. Think that's what he meant.

Is juninho gonna get some quality playing time or is he doomed to the bench.

On the friendlies, usually he replaces Ronaldo. That's NOT happening at the WC tho, unless we are cruising and Parreira decides to give Ronnie a rest.

:kader: I dont agree with you at all.. thats wishfull thinking.. that is exactly what is happening obviously not as frequent as in friendlies but its wha will happen

ronaldo is been given lots of chances to recover his form if he doesnt in the first games though I am sure parreira will take him and not Adriano out.. lets see...

Ronaldo will start no matter what. Adriano too for that matter. The only way Robinho will start is due to injuries and even then he will return to the bench the next game.

So in the WC, if he is subed in will it be as a forward or an attacking mid?

first we are not talking about him starting or not.. thats not in question.

to answer the previous comment:

... ronaldo is untouchable is ajoke.. he is not anymore and parreira has proved that... you wil only see how wrong you are at the wc.... so Im not gonna loose my energy trying to make you understand the obvious...

Stop playing the smartass and taking for obvious things you barely know about. For good or for bad, Ronaldo's position is not threatened at all under Parreira for this WC. If he gets lazy during the WC like he has been at Real, surely Parreira will only take action two or three games too late.

And Socrates, Robinho would not likely enter as attacking mid, as there are Ronaldinho and Kaká there, and playing the 'quinteto mágico' simply won't work at WC level - not to talk about Parreira's small willingness to experiment other setups than the usual one. I would like to see him playing alongside Ronaldo or Adriano a full match anyday (I don't think Ronaldo - Adriano works that fine). In the WC, that's unlikely however.

Parreira said that Ronaldo will gain his form as the tournament goes on. so yes, hes untouchable.
