Alright genius, how many times Ronaldo was subbed by Parreira on official games due to performance issues? Ronaldo is untouchable in our NT, that's not my opinion, it's the coach's opinion. The coach runs the team, so go figure.

@ Socrates - Depends on who he's subbing. I see Parreira bringing him to play wide or to form partnership with one of the forwards.

I'm sorry for answering your question. I will never make that mistake again.

Ronaldo is not untouchable, dont be ridiculous...he was left out of 2 qualifiers because he's not untouchable. Robinho subbed him because he had blisters on his feet (freakin Nike cleats are a factory for blisters). Ronaldo has been doing well this whole time. And it's normal for the subs to do better, they are fighting for spots that the starters have- duh.

Ronaldinho is taking it easy, thats why he's relaxed. Kaka, however TORE IT UP!! His gol was incredible, and he set up Ronaldo awesomely. MotM by far!!

The whole Brasil team played EXCELLENTLY today. we werent fighting hard for anything, we were chillin' and we didnt even challenge any 50/50's. We played well. A bit more organization from our whole team on defense, and we'll have a solid chance of winning.

BTW Someone should teach Adriano how to pass the ball....I know he scored and all but sheesh....thats two games in a row now.

During this tournament I think Kaka is going to be the one to fear. Ronaldinho looks increasingly off his game.

If Ronaldo took a huge dump on Parreira's chest, he'd still start. He is untouchable. Ridiculous would be to believe he won't start every match in the WC, maybe with the exception of the last group match if Brazil are already qualified. He could well sit by the corner flag and he'd still start.

The reason he didn't play the qualifiers was because he was "too tired" and "needed to rest". Actually, he didn't want to play. I know he said that about the confed, but I don't really see how you can choose when you're tired. Well, maybe he can, because I doubt he even gets tired at all.

For the brazilians 3 questions :P

Do you think Robinho can be compared to Kaká or Ronaldinho? even in the future?

Kaká is "better" than Ronaldinho? or last matches Ronaldinho is just underperforming?

Are there any news in Brazil linking Real Madrid and Kaká?

thx xD

He's got the potential, he needs to be coached correctly, like the way Kaka and Ronaldinho did.

Kaka can defend better, as well as create chances and score goals. Ronaldinho is better at creating chances and scoring goals. He also has more tricks and his dribbles are "cooler". Your choice, really.

70M euros, almost done, if you believe the brazilian press.

I only watched the second half but I didn't think Ronaldinho was bad at all. He gave an amazing pass that led to a goal or to an annulled goal or to a would-be goal (my memory is failing me right now). He also touched the ball really well. I think he's really going to kick it into high gear when the official matches start.

The whole Brazilian side was firing on all cylinders when I saw them. It's going to take some red-card kind of match or some fluke to eliminate them.

Why would you schedule such weak opponents.....we all know you can score like there's no tomorrow...but why choose these rubbish teams? No offense, but New Zealand is NOT in the same bracket as Australia!

It's obvious that Brazil is unbeatable like this, each and every player is a star and I don't think that someone can stop them to get the title....

Brazil is good..but to words:

NEW ZEALAND

To Crusad3r

1) In the future, that's very possible. Robinho did amazing things at Santos, and has potential to be on the same tier of them. That will depend on how he develops the next few years, however - his game still has to improve on some aspects. Even so, he is miles ahead of, say, Denilson...

2) Ronaldinho tends to underperform often in NT, at least compared to what we expect from him. Kaká is not really better than him (sum total, I see them as equals), but he is usually more consistent.

3) Yes; those rumours have spread about the same time you must have heard of them...

Lol why are people taking Ronaldinho's sub-par performance so seriously? Do you really think he wants to put much effort into playing the mighty New Zealand team? Yeah, didn't think so...

Funny...

Ok lets start at the begginning...

For those of you who again mentioned ronaldo not starting and he being untouchable - let's make one thing clear - the discussion here is not about him starting or not. That was never a question - He is and will be starting every match there is no doubt unless things go really bad his way. I, and as far back as I read the thread, no one here said otherwise.

When I say he is not untouchable I mean by replacing him..

For the one that said he will be subbed a game or two too late I agree... But he will be subbed. HE IS NOT UNTOUCHABLE.

Dont think you know everything and ssay to someone you dont know doesnt know what they're talking about - honestly, you sound childish and with profound knowledge on nothing. This is not something I know or neither am I saying its true - it is however how you sound.

Here are the facts. Ronaldo is not the same player as he was 4 years ago. Does parreira have the utmost confidence in him, yes. Will he keep him if he doesnt perform throughout the championsip, no. He knows he has talents of superb quality on the bench and Ronaldo's name and need for beating all records will not hold his place on second halves if he starts getting tired and underperforming. Parreira has showed he believes in a couple of his subs - Robinho mostly - and If Adriano plays well and Ronaldo doesnt he will be subbed - there is no doubt. And for those of you who think its crazy - grow up. This is football -

There were times when removing ronaldo was insane - there were times when removing romario was insane and in the peak of that time he didnt get called to the wc - because he was injured? no - because the youngsters were performing better. This the reality.

Really mate - - mates - grow up, Ronaldo has all the free passes he wants with the coach and the country but when crunch time comes and if hes not fit and ready he will be out - I hope it doesnt happen but youre giving too much credit to parreira - he will do what the country has been begging him to do - put robinho - and if adriano is scoring goals and playing well the one to walk will be ronaldo. Simple mathematics - only not obvious to blind fans - or children.

As for Ronaldinho's performances I agree - he is finding himself within the team - he has all the techinque and he is undoubtedly the best player in the world - difference between him and Kaka - Kaka takes seriously every minute hes on the field - he doesnt seem to even protect himself from injury which dinho does very clearly - once WC comes things will be different - - I rather not speculate who will do better - I am happy having both on my National Team...

Jesus Brazil is too good at W.Cups.
There's only 1 nation on Earth that is the "PAper" to their "Rock" (it's actually an upset if Brazil wins).

But I have faith in Holland (my #1 pick). I think it's destiny for them to do it now (they have the players to do it)
