It's a complete farce. The penalty incident was almost the same the Kuyt's hold on Hleb, except being touched and not held back. I am truly gutted because we really deserved to go through.

What is your point? It was a clear penalty in the first leg! Therefore, by your own words, clear penalty tonight :S

Fernando Torres goal was pretty nice. But Walcott's run was out of this world, especially after the fact that his absolutely owned Gerrard and Hyppia on the way.

Well I don't know what the fans sounded like on TV, but in the stadium all the Fener fans were easily drowned out by the chelsea fans. Sure the Fener fans made some noise but it was far below the racket we made all night. That was the loudest and most consistant support for Chelsea I have heard at the Bridge for a long time.

I heard some whistling from the oppositions fans and a bit of chanting but that was it. Maybe Sky decided to amplify the away fans. That would be a typical Sky TV trick. Scummy wankers.

We definately dominated almost the whole game. When we subbed Kalou for Malouda, Fener had about 20 minutes of the second half while Chelsea settled into the new formation, and during that time Fener didn't threaten too much. They took the midfield for a while but there was no end product all night. So no, I don't think a draw would have been a fair result. We deserved the win because we were the better side tonight.

Well played though Fener. You are indeed a credit toTurkish football, of which I am indeed a fan. The game was played fairly and passed without controversy which was good to see. I hope we miss each other next year though because when Fener have a good day, they could beat any team you care to mention andI don't want it to be us.

So Arse are out. Shame :) Mind you I think the very bad decision not to award a penalty to Arsenal against Kuyt at the Emirates, has cost them dearly. Good game though. Wallcott's assist has to be the assist of the season in the CL. A great run indeed although to be fair he came on late in the game when most players legs were getting a little heavy. None the less a good run.

Say we had have came into the game 2-1 up,i dont think we would have came to Anfield chasing and scoring that early goal like we did. Anyway must look ahead now, if we beat United this weekend we will be 3 points behind them with 4 games to go, and they still have to play Chelsea whom they will draw against i can feel it. So we are still in with a sniff. Although if we don't win on the weekend i would rest Cesc for the rest of the season, he isnt going to get a break with Euro 2008 coming up.

God I hope you're right about us still having a chance to win the Prem.

As for the match today we simply showed some great attacking and some weak defending. Yes, the Babel penalty was poor, but that's not to say Liverpool probably wouldn't have scored after that anyways with the way we were defending.
In the summer we need to get a good, big CB. That would have been very useful today as would Flamini.

With that said though I'm pleased with the way we played in general, and if it were a luckier 2 legs for us I know we'd be facing Chelsea in the next round.

I really feel sorry for Arsene Wenger. If there's any justice in the sport, Chelsea will go through to the final. We do not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the other 3 that will be in the semis.....Arsenal would have deserved such an honor. Sooner or later, you've got to be able to win without penalty controversy or goal line "goals that weren't goals".....you've got to be able to WIN a game....and we didn't win, the referees gave it to us (both home and away).

Wenger was very gracious in defeat, hardly something you'll see from Benitez.

i do they didnt really create anything, A goal from a corner and a moment of brilliance from Torres.

I still have my reservations about Manuel in goals, dont get me wrong he is a good keeper but I wouldnt call him World Class, which is what we need. i thought his positioning for their 4th was a bit averager

Not true. Arsenal are the better team but if you're talking about today's penalty, for me it was a penalty. We won fair and square, playing to our abilities against a much superior side and you've got to give us credit for that. Justice wont put Chelsea in the final. We beat Inter and Arsenal. They beat Olympiacos and Fenerbahçe. If they beat us, fine, but based on the past we've beaten better teams.

The controversy will always exist in big games. Those games are decided in details. The fact is we took our chances, they didnt, and we're through.

The pathetic league.
Arsenal was better then liverpool and still liverpool wone how come?
When does the real soccer whill not wining games ??liverpool played ugly soccer with long balls.
The referees killd arsenal with the ungivin penalty in the first game and yesterday with the penalty that was not real.
Chelsea wone fenerbahçe becouse in stamford bridge they are Invincible.
Today m.united whill play in old trafford against roma with 2:0 advantage.
Barcelona whill play against schalke 04 in Camp nou with 1:0 advantage

Is the camera located near the away stand by any chance?

What a match! Thank you Liverpool and Arsenal for putting on such a show! In the end though, let's be honest, Liverpool was the better team today and the better team over the two legs and deserved to go trough.

Agree, that Walcott runs was one of the best I have seen in my life on par wtih the Maradona and Messi run. I really have to question Wengers lineup, Toure at RB? Why not Eboue at RB and Theo at RW, that would have made a lot more sense because Senderos sucks.

Great now it's going to be another boring ass semi between Liverpool and Chelsea.

Why would it matter where the camera was positioned? The TV microphones are all around the stadium, and not sited where the camera is.

I watched the recorded highlights on ITV today. Then I watched the highlights on Sky. The Fener fans were louder on Sky than on ITV, and I maintain that IN THE STADIUM, which is all that counts really, the Fener fans were drowned out all night.

Anyway who gives a crap. We are through and they are not. That is all that matters.

Mind games :p

I Think Fener fans were dominant at some parts of the game because i remember hearing them very clearly , as they chanted in Turkish and the whole stadium was just listening, minutes later, the stadium started to chant "Go on Chelsea" or something like that :)
This happened especially in the second half , when the match was played under Fener domination (i m especially talking about when Fener missed a %100 goal oppurtunity right from the penalty box and when 2 other very good shots are awesomely saved by Hilario)

But ofcourse this is all the entertainment side of the draw, after all, you won it and i really do like to see you win this one, mostly because it will be so hilarious since mourinho never was able to win that cup and avram grant isnt that far away from it :D :D :D

Hope to be seeing a Fener-Chelsea draw next year in the group stage!
