Why would it matter where the camera was positioned? The TV microphones are all around the stadium, and not sited where the camera is.
Oh i see.

Great performance from Anderson and Hargreaves today. And United finished the game with 6 defenders and 2 forwards too! Shame Park didn't get a goal, he had some good chances. Roma looked like they might be able to pull something after getting the penalty kick, but really if not for Doni it could have been 3 or 4 goals rather than 1.

Good on Man U, still my favorites to take it, in spite of Liverpool who have looked impressive since the group stage, something about the reds and Europe man....Very poor display from Barca, I pray they improve before the Man U fixture or its going to be ugly for them....

Mind games :p

I Think Fener fans were dominant at some parts of the game because i remember hearing them very clearly , as they chanted in Turkish and the whole stadium was just listening, minutes later, the stadium started to chant "Go on Chelsea" or something like that :)
This happened especially in the second half , when the match was played under Fener domination (i m especially talking about when Fener missed a %100 goal oppurtunity right from the penalty box and when 2 other very good shots are awesomely saved by Hilario)

But of course this is all the entertainment side of the draw, after all, you won it and i really do like to see you win this one, mostly because it will be so hilarious since mourinho never was able to win that cup and avram grant isnt that far away from it :D :D :D

Hope to be seeing a Fener-Chelsea draw next year in the group stage!

Actually, after watching the highlights today, I realised that Fener had a little more of the play, than I originally thought. I had a crap seat last night and missed one or two things. Hilario actually performed better than I thought he did, and Chelsea made more bad passes than I originally thought too.

Yeah, I'd really like to win this with Avram in charge. Even to reach the final will be going one better than Jose. Maybe that will shut up our crap fans who give Grant such a difficult time. It won't please the english media too much either, so thats another bonus.

Thanks Turk 123, you are an absolute gentleman. Fair play to you. Respect.(Y)

It's as much to do with him as anyone else Fili. He hasn't turned a crisis (Jose leaving), into a disaster as so many hoped for, and for that he is disliked.

2nd in the league and in the semi finals of the CL. His record this far into the season speaks for itself.

If this was Wenger with his team in the same position as we are right now, you would be calling him the best in the world. Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal for 10 years, and it looks like its going to be another empty handed season for Arsenal. Grant hasn't even had 10 months in charge and here we are in the position we are in.

When a club do well or even do badly, the manager takes the credit or the critisism. That occurs with every manager around the World, but you are trying to tell me that where Chelsea are concerned this does not apply? That my old mate, is illogical.

Everyone is so quick to critisize Avram, but when things go right for us suddenly he has nothing to do with it? That is inconsistant thinking my friend. Inconsistant and unconvincing.

....and ye, we need all the prayers we can get ... another pretty poor performance....it's hard to see the team just snapping out of it, and back into groove by the time Man Utd roll into town........

Just take a page out of our book and try to bore the life right out of them.

...We beat Inter and Arsenal. They beat Olympiacos and Fenerbahçe. If they beat us, fine, but based on the past we've beaten better teams.

Come on, you know that means nothing when looking ahead to the NEXT game.....

...The controversy will always exist in big games. Those games are decided in details. The fact is we took our chances, they didnt, and we're through.

Yeah I guess I'm sick of our controversy soaked wins.

the thing is, pede, no matter how much you want it to be true, it's not all Avram's work.

Of course its not ALL Avram's work, its the whole club and that includes the manager. Whenever he gets it right people think its not all Avram's work.(Of course, but he plays a crucial role as manager so does Henk Ten Cate and Stevie Clarke).
Yet, whenever something goes wrong, its all Avram's work.
Thats how the media and the people who read and believe what the media writes, sees it.

Hopefully Messi will be back for Barca against Man Utd, we'll get to see if Ronaldo does perform against one of the bigger clubs in Europe.

Why shouldnt he...The fact is that at the current time Barca is not what it used to be, specially if you take into account that Ronaldo has tore down the Premiership, tore down the Champions and Abidal and Zambrotta the two Barca Side backs can be quite suspect at times, specially against the faster more skilled attackers.....Honestly Man U is in form, Barca is not, Liverpool in form, Chelsea kind of in form...I predict Man U vs Liverpool for all the marbles...

What was the criteria used in determining which team gets to play the 2nd leg of the semi-finals at home? Was it just the result of the way the draw turned out? I'm really surprised that 2 of the 3 most recent tournament winners got shafted in that regard, in that they have to play their 2nd legs AWAY from home......which in the case of both means almost certain elimination! Perhaps they should have been protected?

I would love it if none of the three English semifinalists won the tourney again. But in all honestly, I think Barcelona is the weakest of the remaining teams and likely to get trounced by ManU.

I don't know, I mean, I do think he is currently the best player in the world but he hasn't done it for me in the big games, against Milan(last seasons SFs) apart from the goal(which was Dida's mistake), against us in the FA Cup Final, Community Shield, and the clash at Old trafford(scored a penalty, so what), he was quite below par for his standards, maybe we'll get to see his true abilities against Barca. I'd personally prefer to meet Man Utd given the fact that we have a good record against them. But there is the matter of Liverpool first.

I'm just saying what I think, if you can't accept it, just ignore it.

You say it WILL as if you could see the future.

fair enough, but we(Chelsea fans) think differently.
The best teams left are teams that make it the final. Doesn't matter how they reach it, just the fact that they did makes them two of the best.
Lets all hope for fair matches and no dodgy or controversial decisions.

cheers

The Chelsea-Liverpool game is going to be tight one. I can easily see it coming down to an away goal in the second leg.

In the other Semi unfortunatley can't see beyond Man U as much as I would prefer Barca to win.

If Liverpool tdo make it too the final they are going to have to play a lot better against Man U than they have in the league. Just imagine the embarrassment to us Liverpool fans if we let Man U win a European trpohy

Oh trust me dude, I want Chelsea to win. I've been an admirer of them since the Shifty Petrescu days but I just don't think they can beat Liverpool in a two legged affair (hopefully 3rd time will the charm though).
