Mandieta6 is completely right here. Until a transfer is CONFIRMED by both clubs involved, officially on their website, it remains a rumour. Even if an agreement has been reached it might fall through on a medical (eg Leroy Fer) - there is a RUMOURS thread for rumours - USE IT!

He's the only half decent gk we have, I'm sure he could pick up big wages at any a league team as an Australian salary cap exempt player people just want him playing so picking him in the nt is justifiable

When there is more than one reliable source there is no way in hell the transfer is not confirmed. Who cares when it posts on the teams site? Mandieta6 is being obnoxious for no fvcking reason. If you don't like the post you got the power to remove it or hand in a yellow card or whatever, no need to call names especially for someone who moderates the site.
Like, i get there is rules but it is a forum (and quite liberal in most things to be honest) not the freaking gestapo, loosen up a bit.

He'll play cup games and also Cech is bound to spend a month out injured, and our coaches will probably keep him in better condition than even regular games at some backwater Australian outfit would, so I really wouldn't worry - just enjoy the fact that there is an Aussie at a top club!

I'm sorry but I want to be strict about the confirmed transfers thread because we have already had instances of people seriously jumping the gun to get in first here and post transfers which havent happened at all or which were only confirmed a week later (someone even posted that Cavani to Chelsea was confirmed in this thread!) so in order to avoid a slippery slope I must INSIST that you wait until it is 100% confirmed and 100% certain that the transfer has been completed.

Not sure what to make of this one. Seems like a big fee and despite having watched many of Celtics CL matches last year I have yet to see quite what everyone sees in Wanyama, yet he was heavily linked with United so for Soton to get him could be quite a coup. Still seems like a lot, most money every paid for a player from a Scottish club. Also I THINK he's the first Kenyan to play in the EPL. Not 100% sure about that.
