In certain grammatical contexts, Team USA sounds better than USA.
This is a reminder of 3 IMPORTANT RULES:

You missed the UK. Remember, although people often use Great Britain as a synonym, it's technically not correct. As it only includes the main island (hence United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
