To be honest, other than the test games I've seen nothing of burns, I like however that he has ruled himself out of the IPL to focus on longer form games
Without looking at statistics it feels as if Marsh is in career best form and experienced enough to be in and around the team
As a Sydney-sider, how do you feel about no Lyon in the world cup team?
Also I got a hold of Don Bradman cricket, Doolan is still in the test team hah, there's one who probably shouldn't be back either - it is a good game though you're right
Doolan was a joke of a selection. That is my issue with the influence the media has on selections. He made one century against England in a warm up game, and apart from that never had the first class figures to back up his selection. Then a load of arm chair fans pushed for him - as that was the only game they saw, they didn't see his Shield results.
My issue with Marsh is that everyone says he looks good, so we need to pick him. He does look good, he has great technique - but you look at his record and he simply doesn't score enough runs. If we're picking on technique, Steve Smith and David Warner wouldn't be in the side for starters.
The reason I like Burns is because he's a proper old school batsman. Not scared to grind out an innings, and has reasonable technique all around the ground, without being a real slogger. I think in the Indian series he should have batted 3 - which is a much more natural spot for him, and Watson down at 6, where an all rounder with the batting form Watson has should be.
I'm not sure if I'd have picked Lyon for the World Cup squad, but that's because I'm not sure if I'd have picked a spinner. But if it was Lyon vs Doherty, I wouldn't even wait for the thinking music. The fact Doherty has played so much cricket for Australia is an absolute joke in my eyes.
I've updated the DB in my Don Bradman cricket quite a bit - so Doolan isn't near the test side. He's not even in my Australia A side!!
They were clever with the controls I think, the dot on the ground was always a huge advantage for the batsmen in cricket games. And the way the use the two sticks is clever too. Though in multiplayer it's confusing with the batsman's controls being reversed. Even when you invert them, it inverts up and down, but not left and right (from memory).
