I SO disagree with you... Nuno Valente is a very good player, in no way compared to Dimas. But hey, to each his own. At least you should be greateful for the things he helped Porto achieve and he did not deserve to go out like he did.

He was a decent player, but it is a fact he was extremely overrated and it's incredible he played for a club like Juventus... Only thing worse than that was Sceretário (which was truly awful) playing for Real Madrid.

Well, u see, i never liked him, and never felt like he helped us, i always felt like he was an handicap in Mourinho's team...I dispise him as a player, and as a man..as a player because of his overweight and slowness, as a man because of his dirty fouls and elbows, i'll never forget what he did in Riazor that could have costed us the loss of the CL. He was so much worse than Paulo Ferreira when they played in opposite sides it freaked me out...I absolutely dispise him. He can't even run appropriately..

P.S. for u to understand what i feel about him:
Dias da Cunha is a football manager = Ricardo is a goalkeeper = Nuno Valente is a football player

P.S.#2 for u to get the full picture: I'd rather have Fyssas in my team than Nuno Va"lento" (6)

Ok, I understand. You're untitled to have your opinions and feelings. I do agree with you that his attitude sometimes wasn't good and I also remember dirty fouls and elbowing he did. Anyway, regardless of that, I think he is a good player and the truth is he was important for Porto's CL win and also in Euro 2004. He's still the best Portuguese LB IMO, although admitedly that's not saying much, because that place (along with the striker) always was our main weakness...

Nuno Valente is only a medium player in the worst position of the portuguese football IMO. i agree he is our best LB but he is "the best of the worst".

Nuno Valente is not a great attacker and not a really good player (he almost f*cked up Porto in the final vs Monaco with a penalty that the ref didn't see), but he's a solid defender and above average for a LB. Stupid of Porto to let him go ... at least they could have rotated him with Peixoto. And even more stupid to have sold lots of players last year and not selling Valente who had lots of clubs interested.

yeah Porto before release him must had find a replacement... now who will play? Leandro is clearly worst and Peixoto "desenrrasca" in the Liga games against lower table teams but it's clearly low for the CL and for the big Liga matches.

Leandro is 50 times better than Valente IMO, just has 10 cm less, but size isn't my major concern..Porto's mistake here, was not selling Valento last year :jambo:

If u think Leandro sucks you'll hate Léo..they have the same style...It's the brazilian way, quick, technically gifted wingers..They make awesome runs, have good crossing skills and a good long shot, but they don't win airballs in the defensive area man...I like that style (6)

Well, but not really... I follow Brazilian football closely (I'm half-Brazilian), so I already knew both Leandro and Léo and I rate Léo quite higher. I think you described them pretty well, but it seems to me that Leandro isn't as good as Leó attacking and from what I've seen so far he is really poor at defending. Anyway, the truth is that we still haven't seen Léo officialy competing in Europe so he can end up not adapting his gamestyle and suck as much as Leandro has been doing IMO.

I forgot to comment Naval's game..well, Porto did well, though the defense wasn't always concentrated..Jorginho was MoM for me, he signed all the three assists :jap:

I think Porto had a good game, the only disapointment was the defence. Lisandro & Diego played really good. Also its nice to see Almeida score at home.

How do you guys think Quaresma played and will he be called for the next game?

He played well in the minutes he was in the pitch, a good cross to the 3rd goal... hope he continues to be called cause with a good coach i believe he can reach his maximum potential as a team player.
